McAuliffe lead evaporates in Virginia as he smears critical race theory opponent as 'racist'
Recent comments by Virginia Democratic nominee for governor Terry McAuliffe denouncing opposition to critical race theory as "racist" are drawing criticism on social media, as the former governor's lead over Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin continues to evaporate in the homestretch of a race that is now a dead heat.
McAuliffe, who previously served as governor during 2014-18, was asked during a candidate forum on Thursday evening how he would define critical race theory. In response, he denied CRT is being taught in the state's public schools and declined to define it.
"I answer this question very clearly," he said. "It's not taught in Virginia, it’s never been taught in Virginia."
When pressed to define critical race theory, McAuliffe said: "Doesn't matter. It's not taught here in Virginia. So I'm not going to spend my time. I'm not even spending my time because the school board and everyone else says it's not taught. It's racist. It's a dog whistle."

Sorry to say this but I agree with the pessimistic comments. A Virginia Democrat could be caught stealing from a child and still get elected governor here... Just too many government bureaucrats and hangers-on.
I am involved in the fight for election integrity in VA and am actually working on Youngkin's team in that regard. Your statement that nothing is being done is absolutely wrong. The problem is that the Democrat-controlled legislature revamped the Virginia election law in a way that makes cheating easier. There's not much we can do about that. We need poll watchers every day up to and including election day. If you live in VA and want to do something other than complain, sign up to a be a poll watcher.
Does Virginia have the liberal mail in ballot procedures in place? If so, that will make an uphill climb for the GOP. If these polls are accurate, the additional mail in ballots will put McAuliffe over the top. They will tip the balance to Clintonista McAuliffe.

Youngkin needs an October Surprise to suppress Democrat turnout. Attack ads tying Fast Terry to encouraging Coonman to run knowing about the blackface, hell find someone to quote him that he thought it would probably help Coonie! And the other ad -- show how Fast Terry introduced Beater to the baby-parts crowd -- that is well-documented. The Fast Terry-Clinton-Epstein connection attack ad is played out and probably wasn't worth the money.
