This is THE most important article posted during this entire political paradigm since Trump started trying to save this country (even with his faults). Please read the article in the thread linked. This IS where we are headed because we have not pulled together to mount opposition to these evil people. The other side is already a cohesive force. The time is now.
Click here for VERY important article.
The voting system manipulation has a flawed foundational premise that is rarely mentioned, let alone attacked.
Universal suffrage is a bad thing. It NEVER ends well.
Yet it is near universally held that if we only had MORE participation, with HONEST counting, things will turn out peachy.
Re #20:
By all means! There is no point in NOT “fighting” all the electoral fights. There is psychological and practical value at this point in keeping up pretenses. The process will be overtly suppressed (it is happening now) at some point, but until then we should not give up, if only to keep as many options open as possible. You never know what will bear fruit. It would be dumb not to.
But we are capable of doing two things at once. Focusing exclusively on electoral politics is not pragmatic nor sensible.
We also have to be focusing on confronting oppression and tyranny directly.
If I take nothing else away from my readings today...I will remember this. You have just rearranged my thoughts on the "opposition's" evil strategy. Thank you!
Really?
“The Russian Revolution, not the French, not the Chinese, is the circumstances we face”
And Irish Republican Army tactics is what now must take place. Trump, Bannon etc. have the means and know-how to implement this strategy.
The communist puppet MUST be removed first and then the purge of the coup plotters in the media comes next. Not a single one of them can be allowed to escape justice.
I read this many years ago. Long but interesting. I am NOT endorsing any particular idea:

Btt
I respectfully disagree that we don’t know what needs to be done. Fixing the voting system would be an important start and some states have started tackling just that. Voter ID, kill mail-in balloting and ballot harvesting is the first focus.
Only then can we take back the country peacefully. Failing that is NOT an option because if we do, we’re headed for blunt force trauma.
I’m a pragmatist at heart and that’s how I see it.
No doubt that you get it.
The best post of the day.
Fix the vote. Any of the other alternatives will be very unpleasant to winners and losers alike.
Great post and so true. We still want our freedom, but we will not sacrifice to save it. Therefore we are going to lose freedom and there will be nothing left to sacrifice.
Freedom or tyranny? Choose wisely and understand that time is running out and we are going to suffer losses either way. Kind of like “Do I jump off the 20 foot wall and risk an injury or do I stay here and hope the bomb misses me”?
I believe people want to believe that we can fix it all next election.
No we cannot, and the people who believe this are either ignorant or unable to pay attention.
We have already lost our freedom. It is not coming back. From this point forward, they will just tighten the screws.
Re #29:
As an American, I grew up with the idea that Christians would never have to prove their loyalty to Jesus during my life.
We are now nearing Diocletian levels.
The damaged conservative minds I see believe that the way to victory is one one article, one election cycle away. They dutifully wake up, robopost quaint articles by political apparatchiks without commenting on them. Their idolization of the Bush clan remains strong. To them that is the future and they share it with us with the zealotry of a door knocking Jehovah Witness. Their product is stale, their time is wasted and the damage they do to an Awakening is unwittingly calculated.
I hate losing. I have always believed if I am going down, at least I might as well fight.
Just giving up makes me sick. But it is what it is.
Frankly, I found the following article by the same author, to be more to my liking due to it’s specificity. Not to say he doesn’t have a point in the article you posted.

I’m betting there isn’t anyone that would argue with the idea expressed that there are just way too many witches wandering about causing untold mischief.

We are currently living under an oligarchy that pretends to be a democracy. Someone coined the term Ivygarchy to suggest we are being ruled by the smug graduates of Yale, Harvard and Columbia.
A bigger mistake is to suggest that those of us on the right are defenders of freedom and those on the left are all tyrant loving ideologues. Originally being on the right meant supporting monarchies and state churches. Conservatism was a branch of the left that opposed monarchies but didn't want to completely transform society.
We all want freedom. The monarchists believed that a well-ordered society organized around a single animating religion would allow greater freedom for their citizens in their everyday existence. No vote, but also less crime and decay. The Ivygarchy also wants freedom for its citizens: freedom from religious and social bigotry, racism, climate change, etc.
It's not about freedom vs tyranny but as Sowell said, a competition between two different visions of what is best for mankind.
I am in despair for our future because there is no organized opposition to the Ivygarchy. We on the right will not all agree to become Roman Catholic Royalists or Protestant Roundheads. We will not subject ourselves to a great leader even if we are lucky for one to appear. We will cling desperately to the few "freedoms" the Ivycrats deign to allow us as they twist the vice ever tighter.
I’m wondering if your definition of universal suffrage applies to my 35?
Or, is your definition more general in nature to include both male and females not worthy of the privilege of the vote?
I have shared it with others beyond FreeRepublic.
While I entirely agree with the article, my observations tell me that conservatives will never work together to combat this collapse in our Nation. They will just blog angrily until they are carted off to to camps.
This site just passed the 4 million posted thread mark. You should take a look back at how many of those were life and death articles have been posted here then let me know how, after all of that collective wisdom, we have managed to arrive at the point we are today. Then get back to me when this latest life and death article makes a difference. Barring the death part of your life and death scenario I'll still be here.
