NBC is cooking the books to get the headline that they want.
The trick they’re using is looking at a 2-week average, rather than the 7-day average that everyone else has been using for the past year.
Rt is currently well below 1 in all but a handful of states, so the news media are going to have to use ever-more creative math to keep the clicks flowing.
