@RepMattGaetz
Today I voted YES on the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act to remove marijuana from the list of Schedule 1 drugs, decriminalizing the substance at the federal level and enabling states to set their own policy. (1/2)
Though not perfect (bad tax and spending provisions) the MORE Act is a step in the right direction as science has already proven the substance has healing properties in many chronic ailments. (2/2)

I know someone here in Texas that has 6 sections they farm and ranch on.
He’s just waiting to set aside acreage to grow marijuana. If you can’t beat em, join em. And make a pot load of money!
Do the same thing for hydrocodone...
That's the Tenth Amendment position; it was never the proper business of the federal government.
I wish!
The reality is that even recreational drugs are being accepted as non-criminal by authorities, with an eye towards taxing them to generate revenue.
A failed policy all around. Prohibition all over again.
Marijuana is the ultimate ‘state’s rights’ issue, in my opinion. Your mileage may vary, you might hate or love the stuff, but while arguments can be made that some drug trafficking contributes to underworld organizations, the feral government really has no legitimate say as to weed grown, sold, and consumed in California (yeah, if someone brings it to a state where it’s highly illegal then they are an idiot and deserve the consequences).
And ivermectin.
Even if you are strongly pro-vaccination, I think anyone who wants to buy the stuff should be able to.
I agree... the federal prohibition is unconstitutional anyway
I plan on getting a big bag of chewies the day it becomes legal. I need something to dull the political cesspool I’m in.
This isn’t going anywhere. Big Pharma hates competition,
Dave’s not here.
Good job, Matt
It would be a smart move on the GOPs part.
It’s an issue that can bring out Democrats who never vote otherwise.
Just like the *best* thing that could happen to the democrats is if the SCOTUS rolls back most gun laws. There goes a huge GOP issue. 1934 and 1968 firearms laws erased, constitutional carry the law of the land, major hit to what is probably a significant percentage of Republican voters’ most animating issue.
Big pharma is ultimately going to buy it and make drugs from it - but they’ll naturally be patented, so they make the vast majority of the money. Even if they have to do the research in Canada or another country in which it is legal.
Careful driving. I took two hits of the new pot and almost couldn’t drive. Never again. Nothing like the stuff in the 70s
They just started allowing medical marijuana here in MO and I can’t say the same thought hasn’t crossed my mind. Probably is good money in it but then I’d be under the watchful eye of some government agency.
No driving for me and I’m sure it won’t take much to launch me into the stratosphere and away from BidenWorld.
“And ivermectin.

Where does the Constitution state or imply federal authority over artificial substances?
