Federal Arrest Warrant Issued for Brian Laundrie

The FBI has issued a warrant for the arrest of Brian Laundrie. The indictment describes his use of Unauthorized Access Devices--in particular a bank card belonging to Gabby Petito for things of value of $1000 or more on or about August 30-September 1, 2021.

I Need to know what things before this means anything to me.

Laundrie’s parents were in Orlando all day. Lots of big name criminal attorneys in the Orlando area.

Gabby was dead. He used her card en route to FL. Gasoline is expensive these days. Maybe a hotel, dinner. Pre-paid bus ticket to Buffalo NY...what does it matter?

Man leaves his girlfriend in the wild. Drives her van 2,000 miles back to mommy and daddy and charges up $1,000 on her credit card on the way back.

Local FL news is apoplectic that the warrant is for unauthorized use of a bank card.

This probably means more to the parents and his lawyer than anyone else.

Until a warrant was issued for his arrest he wasn't considered a fugitive under the law. Now he is. And now his parents and lawyer can be prosecuted if they do anything to help him other than tell him to turn himself in.

Now that he’s been charged with a crime his parents can be charged with obstruction and/or aiding and abetting a criminal in an active investigation.

This issues is a distraction from the inflation in the economy, the border out of control, the Afghanistan disaster and the Covid mandates. It’s the media’s way to deflect bad news about Biden and the Democrats.

Yes it is sad what happened. This happens everyday across the country, but is largely ignored. So why is this particular case getting so much attention from the media?

Answer: It’s a public distraction from Biden’s and the Democrats disastrous policies

It’s just like OJ was a distraction from the Clintons.

Oddly enough, parents cannot be charged with aiding and abetting in Florida. I do not know if this applies to federal charges. I also don't know if or how aiding and abetting differ from obstruction of an investigation. Any legal beagles?

True that. Maybe Brian emptied out Gabby’s bank account at an ATM.

I suspect the parents secreted him out on the so-called camping trip they took on 09/11. They placed the camper shell in the bed of their pickup truck and took off, maybe with him in the cab or in the camper portion. They took him some place and dropped him off with money, clothes and food, but not the Carlton Reserve. But at some point, unless he fled the country, he'll have to come up for air and now his parents can be arrested if they help him.

BTW, there is a good discussion on a couple of other threads by flaglady47 that he may well be a paranoid schizophrenic,
