This probably means more to the parents and his lawyer than anyone else.
Until a warrant was issued for his arrest he wasn't considered a fugitive under the law. Now he is. And now his parents and lawyer can be prosecuted if they do anything to help him other than tell him to turn himself in.

I do not know if this applies to federal charges. I also don't know if or how aiding and abetting differ from obstruction of an investigation. Any legal beagles?

And that also speaks to why it would be hard to pin anything on them that happened before this, unless it could be established that he admitted to them that he committed a crime and they helped him.
