Perhaps a secret military tunneling project? Subsidence or seismic activity would be a logical explanation, but residents say the sound was quite regular but infrequent for months, and now it’s regular and very frequent. Perhaps a secret underground project has made its way into their neighborhood and work is taking place much closer now. . . . I’ve come to believe there are a number of such secret underground projects across the continental U.S.
