Actor Scott Bakula says “significant conversations” are happening about the possibility of a reboot of his early ’90s sci-fi series Quantum Leap, though whatever talks are happening seem to be in the very early stages.
On the podcast Bob Saget’s Here For You yesterday, guest Bakula suggested that the 1989-93 NBC fantasy series – in which his character time-hopped through various eras by “leaping” into the bodies of other people – could see a new day yet again, though fans probably shouldn’t expect anything too soon.

it will be Woke
Same here.
I’ll have to pass on Quantum Woke.
Urgh.
We also enjoyed Timeless from a few years ago.
Ziggy is green.
I enjoyed Quantum Leap. They should just make a movie on Sci Fi to finish the story, as I recall it ended with him choosing to keep on leaping forever. The actor is too old to hold down a show.
I worked for him as an intern. Great times. It was a hard lesson on TV politics on who really owns the rights to your work. (fcbs)
Gosh the great minds of Hollywood just make me swoon. A reboot of Quantum Leap. A reboot of Fantesy Island. A reboot of SWAT. A reboot of Hawaii Five-O, oh and a black reboot of The Wonder Years. And yet these creative brain trusts make more than we ever will.
I’m going to pitch one. “My Mother the Car”, except she will be a turbo challenger, with a mysterious back story on her having an affair with K.I.T.T. where they had a daughter named Tesla, who shund internal combustion engines to be more environmentally friendly. She’ll be black of course so the woke jagoff racists at Disney will pick it up.
Never saw it .
It would be great if Bellisario would produce this. He’s on un-PC, but he’s old now. Too bad.
He was long in the tooth as a sci-fi hero during the show’s run while he was his 30’s? C’mon man!
I liked Quantum Leap, wasn’t born yet when it ran but I saw it on video when I was little. It may have helped inspire my love of history. I remember the folks were always explaining context to me. :D
It’s my understanding that he’s a conservative, or at least too pro America for Hollywood.
It's not entertaining.
P.S. Surprising that Dean Stockwell is still alive (at 85).
Yeah, he’s pro-America. 1000%. He doesn’t need the $$ as he gets the monthly checks as exec producer. I’ve said it multiple times over the years, this is where you make money in this biz, that’s why I got into it. My neighbor only produced 3 episodes of Baywatch and he changes his car every year.
Sounds nice. I watched the new NCIS show NCIS Hawaii, and they put an overbearing no name female as the lead, followed by a dyke kissing scene. That was the end of that.
On the original NCIS, Dinozzo was replaced by a non white.
Abby was replaced by a non white, and Bishop was replaced by a non white.
Aliens would think America is 90% “minorities” and faggots/queers.
“A reboot of Quantum Leap. A reboot of Fantesy Island. A reboot of SWAT. A reboot of Hawaii Five-O, oh and a black reboot of The Wonder Years.”
There is talk of a Leverage reboot as well. All of the original cast, except Timothy Hutton, have been told to keep their schedules open.
He was 35 when Quantum Leap started and he looked older. Maybe he’s someone who just tends to look older than his actual age.
wonder why there’s no reboot of “streets of sanfrancisco”...🤔...
