And, once the restrictions are lifted I recommend to everyone to visit Krakow
IMHO, Polanski directed the best version of MacBeth.
I can’t count the number of documentaries and videos I’ve viewed and books read on the Holocaust.....from survivors to those who hid Jewish people to how Mossad caught the Nazi’s. etc.etc. It’s all interesting and ‘gripping’ to view.
Claude Hooper Bukowski
Finds that it’s groovy
To hide in a movie
Pretends he’s Fellini
And Antonioni
And also his countryman Roman Polanski
All rolled into one
One Claud Hooper Bukowski
One of the five Hungarian Jewish survivors featured in "The Last Days" is the late Tom Lantos, who served as California representative in the US Congress from 1981 until he died in 2008. Lantos was hidden in a safe house set up by Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who saved thousands of Jews in German-occupied Hungary during the Holocaust.
I sometimes research the occasional documentary to learn more about the subject. In this one, Tom Lantos, a former Democratic Representative from California, interested me to know his stance on abortion. To my horror, I discovered he voted in support of 'partial-birth abortion.' For the life of me, I can't fathom how anyone who was an eyewitness to the Holocaust and survived it could support the current Holocaust.

I cannot share this anywhere.
Sorry, I did not make the connection here. Is this the same guy who is a suspect in the rape of a young girl? If so should be tried for what he did.
IMHO, he cannot use the suffering of others as a crutch.
Possibly a film documentary can be made about older men plying an underage girl (provided by her parents) with alcohol and drugs to sodomized and pleasure them selves in various ways and then when caught skip town to avoid prosecution and punishment. Then the documentary can also depict the droves of Hollywood beautiful people worshiping this demon ignoring his deeds and minimizing what he did as not being “ rape rape”.
I know folks hate him here
But his childhood was excruciating and he had horrific things unfold later we all know too well..
His wife and child butchered
I’m ambiguous on him in totality
Been there, wish I could go back.
Have you been to Gdansk?
I note that Polanski was prominently featured in this documentary, which was very good.

Thanks for posting this. I recently watched Bitter Harvest, a drama set in Urkaine about the Holodomor.
So after witnessing all those horrors he went on to defile young girls.
