A newly declassified ruling from a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court in June demonstrates that the government lied about its legal basis for spying on former Trump campaign official Carter Page.
The ruling states that the information produced by the FBI’s unlawful investigation into Page was illegally obtained and that it “found violations of the government’s duty of candor in all four applications.” The ruling also orders the government that “it must temporarily retain, and potentially use and disclose, the information collected, largely in the context of ongoing or anticipated litigation.”
Under the court’s 21-page assessment, information obtained by all four of the warrants and applications is invalidated due to its illegal acquisition, unless the Department of Justice is using it “to investigate or prosecute potential crimes relating to the conduct of the Page or Crossfire Hurricane investigations” such as the FBI’s overreach and its violations of FISA.
“The Court is permitting use or disclosure of information obtained from electronic surveillance or physical search of Page only where it has been or can be demonstrated to be necessary to remedy or deter the types of harm,” the ruling states.
It must also be proved that the information is required for a specific need before it can be accessed.

And will approve the ones the FBI submits knowing full well that they have lied before.

And this is why the FISA process is dangerous and ought to be gotten rid of

Last time I looked, the FISA court had shot down something like 3 approvals the entire time it has existed.
FISA is illusory deterrence. No law will deter the government. None. The law was passed to fool the public.
The amount of snooping without the hassle of FISA won't be reduced one bit.
I'm for getting rid of FISA, but not because I think it will reduce snooping. It will just eliminate a boondoggle make work bureaucracy that employs hundreds and produces nothing. It's pure waste, other than the value to the government whereby it can claim to use restraint and "process" as it invades privacy.
Start with the people/lawyers bringing the affidavits into the FISA court. Disbarrment for starters followed by criminal charges. Only way to unravel this BS.

All lies and BS and not a word of concern about the impact and injury it caused the targeted ones and their families. The costs of attorneys fees, the slanderous lies fed daily to the press, the negative reaction of neighbors, none of this is compensated. “Who steals my purse steals trash, but he that filches from me my good name robs me of that which not enriches him and makes me poor indeed”.
So...immediate arrests are pending. Right?

The above link names names....but they’re all scott free. Will look and see if lawsuit has progressed.
And if you or I lied to the court... ?! Would the court just wait for something to happen?
