It’s getting harder to find a Caribbean cruise itinerary that doesn’t include a stop on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Do Not Travel” list. Over the past few weeks, the list of popular Caribbean cruise ports given the CDC’s dreaded Level 4 designation has ballooned.
Countries with a Level 4 travel health notice are deemed to have a “very high risk” of Covid-19 with a “Do Not Travel” recommendation for Americans.
The Caribbean islands at Level 4 now include: Aruba, the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, St. Barts, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Martin/Sint Maarten and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Despite rising Covid transmission rates, cruises lines have kept popular Caribbean islands on their itineraries by nimbly adapting their protocols to stay in line with both the CDC guidance and ever-changing restrictions in host countries.
But rather than ban cruise ships outright, it’s far more likely that a country with a spike in Covid transmissions would tighten its regulations. In that case, cruise lines adjust their protocols to adhere to the new rules. For instance, when the Bahamas recently mandated that only fully vaccinated cruise ships could stop at its ports, cruise lines were compelled to change how they process passengers on Bahamian itineraries sailing out of Florida.
Caribbean islands currently at Level 3, which means “high risk” of Covid-19, include: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bermuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Turks and Caicos. Many Caribbean itineraries also include stops in Mexico, which is also at Level 3.
“Our advice to cruisers during this time is to be very flexible,” said Faust, “and to realize that when you sign up to the cruise, some destinations and itineraries may end up changing due to the pandemic.”

I really can't see economically how the big three cruise lines; CARNIVAL-ROYAL CARIBBEAN - NOREGIAN , can get any economic stability for several more years; if they continue to operate hospital ship type cruises.
IMHO they will have to downsize; as all the upbeat and happy talk won't pay off their existing indebtedness. -Tom
IMHO they need to tell the VILE, INCOMPETENT CDC to STUFF IT!

Maybe someone should alert the CDC perhaps they should alert the pissident that we are letting in, untested and unvaccinated, aliens from places like mexico and Haiti. Seems to me to be a contradiction in what we do. Also, US Virgin Island, gee, I thought that was a US territory. Does that mean the CDC can tell someone from Florida, do not go to Vermont due to their recent surge too??
I was in Aruba last month (had a fabulous time)
Aruba is one of my favorite Caribbean Islands, especially in February and March. I never had a bad experience there.
I would not be happy if I picked a cruise with Aruba on the itinerary only to find out another Island was being substituted because of Covid fears. -Tom
Islands must not be jabbing enough Pfizer, their tourism is being punished.
My December cruise had St Kitts, St Maarten, Grand Turk and San Juan... San Juan wont let unvaxxed get off the ship...
However Carnival did away with the Religious exemption and so they have cancelled my booking...
Note: Natural immunity from a past case of the Wu Hu Flu is not regarded as a Medical excuse for exemption...
I may end up listing it with a broker, but I hate to do that if a FRiend wants it.
Same with Puerto Rico
Are we starting to see a bunch of fall and winter cancellations of cruises and trips. I just got notice that a business convention for the end of October in San Antonio was canceled and made into a virtual meeting.

Since these medical experimental drugs(so-called vaccines) have been around for over year now, and we have real world experiences to evaluate them , and countries like England and Israel are mostly all vaccinated, it shows these injected drugs don't work, and may have some detrimental side effects.
The best they can say is if you covid and had the injections it won't be as bad.
That is OK for us people over 80 with a lot of other medical problems, but it is not good enough for younger people or those people who have had covid and recovered. They should be going about their business and not worrying about getting the flu, since it has shown there is no vaccine available that prevents covid infections, in this period of time. -Tom
Dammit, there goes my Hatian vacation. 🙄
According to the CDC, China is level one restriction!

Hunter’s paintings are really selling!
We have kids and they have school so that’s not a good week. We usually go at the end of July
We bought it on our honeymoon and went back every year for our anniversary. It usually works out to Spring Break and/or Easter. It must be really warm in July!
