A friend of Gabby Petito said the two were supposed to meet at Yellowstone National Park — but she never heard from the Long Island woman, who has since disappeared.
Petito, 22, was due to meet up with her pal on Aug. 29 at Yellowstone and was supposed to call her that day — the friend’s birthday — to nail down the specifics, The Sun reported.
But the friend never heard from Petito and is puzzled the Blue Point native would instead text her mom the next day that she was in Yosemite — 800 miles from her last known location at Grand Tetons ...

The first thing is, they need to look at the '120 miles" of 'desert in the south east corner (of Utah) that the officer chats about starting at 1 hour 12 minutes, as he tells boyfriend how to get to Yosemite and says he's doing himself a disservice if he doesn't go. (the text msg to mom on Aug 30 was the no service yosemite text)
It's unfortunate that she lived with him and his parents and that they were engaged 'from highschool'?, because I'm sure it made her feel obligated to continue on, not realizing that he was the ticking time bomb.

It seems that these two were unsuited for close quarters of the RV lifestyle.
Covid divided and now this is dividing people on a national scale.
Of the several people I’ve encountered with whom I have not been well suited not a single one of them has ever been murdered.
It’s vast and empty and has millions of places to hide her body. It will only be an amazing accident if someone finds her body with all the time he has to hide it.
Misleading headline...Gabby didnt ‘blow her off’ she just didnt show...did the friend call her at all or try to contact her since then ???

She last talked to her mother the 25th. She does not show for a friends B”Day on 29th.
I commented to my wife that these 2 may have been under prescribed mood drugs. There was something strange about their behavior. Now I’ll wait for “the rest of the story”.
My analogy in regards to the missing girl was when Chandra Leevey(sp?) went missing in Washington, DC. Everyone suspected Congressman Gary Condent looked guilty as sin. It was the main story across the country until BJ Clinton got caught with Monica.
The point of my story is that a guy walking his dog in Rock Creek Park found Chandra’s remains a year later. His Golden Retriever literally came out of the bushes with one of Chandra’s bones in his mouth. This park winds through DC. Thousands of people are in this park everyday. Millions of people live within 20 miles. Her bones were within 30’ of a paved road.
So, IF this girl is buried out in the desert somewhere. The chance of ever finding her remains is slim to none.

Boyfriend is a conman which means he’s more charm than smarts and I bet he’s lazy. She’s not more than 100 ft off the road dime to a dollar.
Which is why he's kept his mouth shut and lawyered up. Without a body, there's no case.

One wonders if this entire story was scripted to distract Americans from the border chaos, Afghanistan, traitor Milley and the $3.5T socialism bill. This could enrapture viewers for months, perhaps over a year. By design?
This case is very curious, although I believe Occam’s Razor applies: The simplest solution is usually the correct one. There are way too many shady actions by the fiance to not have him right at the very top of the suspect list. Gabby talked to her mom via phone on August 25th. Her mom also received two texts from Gabby’s phone (Aug. 27th and 30th, I believe), but she’s not sure it was her daughter doing the actual texting, since she didn’t talk to her. Now we have Gabby’s friend saying she was supposed to hear from her on the 29th. That can help shorten the window of her disappearance by a day.
It’s frustrating that we don’t know more, but I’m confident investigators are several steps ahead. I’ll be interested to find out what they’ve learned after tracking their phones. Particularly, when did Gabby’s phone signal end, and if and how many times the fiance called his parents while headed home.
If he couldn’t make it look like he was innocent, it’s questionable whether he could get rid of the body so that no one. would ever find it.
