Studies show both hybrid immunity and superhuman immunity are ways in which our bodies may have extra fighting power against COVID-19.
Experts say they’ve heard the terms used interchangeably, but they’re a little bit different.
Hybrid immunity, is when someone has had COVID-19 and the vaccine.
It provides people with antibodies from both.
Superhuman immunity starts off the same way, but that some people with particular genetics can develop even more immunity.
“There are some of us that have this super ability to be able to recover from infections, COVID being one of them, a little better than the general population,” said Archana Narayan, and Immunologist with North Texas Allergy & Asthma Associates.
Experts say it’s a rare phenomenon.
“It’s a descriptive term for an individual to generate very high amounts of neutralizing antibodies,” Dr. Mohanakrishnan Sathyamoorthy, Chair of Internal Medicine, TCU and UNTHSC.
Studies show that some folks may have hit the genetic jackpot, meaning their bodies can develop very high levels antibodies that neutralize the virus.
They are also capable of fighting off present and future variants of COVID-19.
They say there’s no specific clinical test you can take to determine if someone has super human immunity, other than a regular antibody test to assess one’s general immunity, if recommended by a doctor.
Other than that, they say the best bet is to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
“If you’ve been infected then you can take comfort in knowing on top of that infection, you can boost your immune response with a vaccine. You can create a level of immune response that’s remarkable,” Dr. Mohanakrishnan said.
1. Your story proves that social distancing and hate of the unvaccinated are the same usual suspect that started illegitimate segregation in this country “to protect Indians from Measles”.
2. You probably have a low metabolism or lack the target cells of the virus, thus it prevents the virus from multiplying in your body.
Then u like me have the antibodies
My wife got it first....despite maintaining our usual physical fidelity marriage contact and sleeping in a smallish queen bed I didn’t get it
Yet four months later I did get it when my kids got it from California
I was barely sick...05/2020..bad phlegm for 36 hours and sore throat
I took copious plaquenil and zpak
My antibodies are 18 on the test I took which is good level
My wife had one Pfizer.....I refuse
I’m leery....I wish they had a real vax
My wife’s bestie had two Pfizer and the second sent her into hospitalization for cardiac wall inflammation
Then now four months later she got Covid....pretty sick too
Everyone here should study the Israel and UK data and the Cleveland clinics and John’s Hopkins reports...
We cannot trust anyone sadly
It ain’t 1962 and this ain’t polio and tat response
Covid does kill healthy people....I did not think that at first
I was wrong....killed someone healthy I knew
Hug too hon
ADE is Antibody Dependent Enhancement-—
mRNA vaccines create antibodies for a specific antigen, not the broad spectrum of antibodies when a natural immune system destroys a complete virus with a diverse set of antigens. Thus the immune response is far greater if you had Covid.
The mRNA vaccines can thus allow for antibodies that do not kill the virus, but actually transport it.
This is my understanding... But I reserve the right to be wrong!
I had Covid-19 in January 2020.
Got the J&J vaccine April 21.
The vaccine kicked my ass for a week. Pretty severe response to it.
Guess I’m a hybrid!
There’s also blood type weirdness with it as well.
Seems that O pos type has lesser, reduced, or no symptoms if they get it, severe symptoms in O pos being unusual last I heard.
Stay safe, see you next time.
Exactly! Since Evolution would favor a variant of the virus that turns the Anti-body into a Trojan Horse that may be why the causalities have gone up.
I was reading some old 2007 research article that showed a link between high cholesterol levels, inflammation, pinocytosis and cytokine storm.
Yes, but only three, rather than St. Fauxi’s current recommendation of six for mortals.
Sounds like my son - he has been exposed to covid numerous times. Has been working in hospital settings since the beginning, has ridden in vehicles with coworkers with covid, has taken care of a girlfriend with covid, has traveled all over the country with a his sports team on weekends and he’s never gotten so much as a sniffle. Does not wear masks anywhere except where required like the doctor’s office.
Antibody tests for him were negative but he does seem very resistant to the virus. His bosses are going back and forth regarding a mandate - but he says he will let them fire him.
Interestingly, a competitor called him the other day trying to get him to work for them. Higher pay, promotion of position, all the same benefits. He told them he would not get the vax and the guy said they do not believe in mandates. To me it’s a no brainer, but my son said he wants to see if his company will do the right thing first. The other guy said to call him back if they don’t.
We’ll see. 🙏
We’ve lived our lives as normally (pre-Covid) as possible, with no shots, and have been fine. Others around us have had it and we’ve been exposed often. We figure we’ll get it and it’s just a matter of time, and are counting on the immune systems God gave us to get us through if/when that happens.

I wonder if this Dr can explain why my post fauciflu AB count is >2500 with no jab, but my ‘fully vaxxed’ wife has a post fauciflu AB count of 1400. We had fauciflu a year ago, together.

You either have 'em... Or... You don't.
Hey that's my password!!!
blood type correlations are all over the place depending on the study a seems to be more at risk several studies type o less risk one neutral..i found nothing about rh +
one interesting blood type factor being questioned is von willebrand factor...high levels seem to cause more clotting..
My wife was on the verge of pneumonia January 2020. I experienced the virus in September with very little symptomes. If she had it then why didn’t I get it? If what she had wasn’t the virus, then why didn’t she get it when I had it? I have never figured that out.
Did anyone hear the Epidemiologist call in on Travis/Sexton yesterday??? Concerning vaccinations.
i forgot to add most type o’s have less von wilebrand factor..could be a correlation low von willebrand factors have difficulty clotting...:
... VWF levels are 25%-35% lower in individuals with blood group O than in individuals with non-O blood groups....
Congratulations then... You must be a superhuman.
A properly matched zygote would fetch untold riches...
