In many ways, communities have never felt lonelier.
While many of us recognize this, we’re so busy juggling jobs, kids and life, that we often don’t know our neighbours beyond a simple wave from the front door.
We might chat with them on social media groups or see them at a store or two, but what they’re dealing with behind closed doors remains a mystery.
Six years ago, when we pulled up into our home’s driveway for the first time and started unloading boxes from the car, our new neighbours had no idea just how much our family would change over the next little while.
But then again, neither did I.
Their reaction to it all, however, should be an example to everyone on how to be a real community.
The First Transition Not long ago, we introduced ourselves to everyone we met as a mom, dad and three boys. Moving into an area full of other young families meant blending in seamlessly, and I liked it. We were like them. They were like us.
As someone who used to stick out in her younger life and was often a target for it, fitting in meant safety.
But my at-ease feelings quickly evaporated a few months after we bought our home.
One night, our then-11-year-old sent us an email. In it, she explained she was transgender, and that she could no longer go on living as the boy we thought she was.

Lopping off your boobs, hacking off part of your ass, rolling it up in a tube and attaching it to your groin does not make you a "transgender male".
Lopping off your penis, having silicone balloons put in your chest and growing your hair long does not make you a "transgender female".
What it makes you is a mutilated, mentally ill individual who was surrounded by professionals, family and friends who, instead of helping you, pandered to your illness."
The way the article is written reeks of narcissistic emotional fiction.
These poor people are confused about and are mistaking a subjective mental state, that they themselves have created, and that can be altered, with metaphysically given objective reality which is absolute and cannot be rewritten.
No, you’re not confused. The people who are the subject of the story are the confused ones.

This is what passes in Canada as a family.
Dad was molesting the boys and one of thought dad would leave him alone if he was a girl. Seeing that everything would come out when the boy was in counseling, Dad decided that being celebrated as transgender beat the hell out of prison.
I was channel surfing one night and ran across a so-called comedy called Schitt’s Creek. It had a bunch of marginally successful actors from shows of the past, Catherine O’Hara, Chris Elliot and Eugene Levy. It also starred the thing pictured in your meme on the right in the puffy blue whatever. Dan Levy! A pathetic little excuse for a person. Eugene must be so proud.
Look at the big bruiser of a "woman" the son in the article became. These guys suck at being women.
They create a society where girls are privileged and rewarded for simply being girls...then they wonder why so many boys want to become girls.
