The boyfriend of a Long Island woman who mysteriously disappeared during their cross-country trip posted a cryptic message about his belle on Instagram last year.
“My biggest fear is that one day I’ll wake up and it will have all been a dream, because that is what every second has felt like since the moment we found each other,” Brian Laundrie wrote in July 2020 about Gabby Petito.
“Til death do us part or until I wake up,” he continued in the post. “I’m so happy the answer was yes. Love you hunny.”
Petito, 22, was reported missing by her mother, Nicole Schmidt, on Saturday. She is believed to have last been in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park in late August as part of her trip with Laundrie, her boyfriend of about 2 1/2 years.

Drugs...
That was my first thought but after watching the video blog, she doesn’t seem to be the hard drug type. The travel van was very clean and orderly, even at the end.
MrsMaw used to watch Unsolved Mysteries. There was a few variations of line they used to use when trying to cast suspicion on the spouse that would make me chuckle. It went something like, “Police began questioning John when they discovered that only eleven years earlier John had taken out a life insurance policy on Lisa.”
Unfortunately.
The strangest part of this is, he left her, with no explanation.
Len Bias did coke once…
Of the several stories I have seen about this, I have not seen anything to indicate what is the boyfriend’s story?
So he came back from their trip, in her/their van? And that is all he knows?
Unless they are just using this to sell newspapers OR the investigators involved in this are totally inept? or both?
Left the van out there.
Brought the van home, I think...found at HIS parents house in FL.
He came back without her, but with the CAR they drove out there!!

Get the crime scene investigators on it.
Look inside the spare tire!

They stopped for gas, and snacks, and a pee stop.
He left mistakenly without her, and did not notice till he got home.
Yeah, not cryptic. Foreshadowing.
That happens to me all the time, especially when I’m 2000 miles away from home.
While normal people have to work they were off on a sabbatical. Wonder how they financed it?
Name theory...girls, never date a guy named “Laundry”!
I guess until death did in fact them part.
[snip] “I understand that a search has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming,” Brian Laundrie said in a statement, according to ABC News. [/snip]
Miss Petito? Not "Gabby"? Sorry, but that's one sick mo-fo.
Call me grumpy, but if it were my daughter, I'd be getting booked for the extermination of that SOB and both his parents by now.
The joke at that time was:
How are cut flowers and Len Bias alike?
They both die after they’re picked.
Damn, that’s harsh. :)
Len died due to cocaine IIRC...now that’s harsh.
Yep, that’s why I posted it.
Supposedly the first time he ever tried it.
Guy is second pick in NBA draft, had a great college career at Univ. Of Maryland, a promising career as a pro...and then to celebrate takes the hit of cocaine fro m one of his ‘friends’ and goes into cardiac arrest.
BTW, I heard the joke in a College Park bar.
