If I am hospitalized with a vent shoved down my throat, I'll take that chance. I'd try anything under the Compassionate Use provisions. But it would take an agreeable family member to make things happen depending on how far along you might be. Sounds like an Advanced Directive to one's Health Care Surrogate might be in order. Get the ducks aligned before the need. Time to update some paperwork.
A friend of mine that lives in GA had COVID with pneumonia. It took about a month for him to get over it. His wife came down with it and her doctor prescribed Ivermectin. Within days she was much improved, never got pneumonia, and was never hospitalized.
Here in TN my 59 year old sister, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, one 70 year old friend, her daughter, and her granddaughter all got COVID. All eight people were offered the antibody infusions with no conditions. It appears that red states are doing all they can to help people while blue states are doing everything they can to kill them.

Based on the story she didn't strike me as someone who needed someone to advocate for her. She seems pretty outspoken. Certainly outspoken enough to demand Ivermectin. Get up and leave.

My understanding is the Ivermectin has to be given early and before someone is admitted to the hospital otherwise it is not as effective. You must start therapeutics including regeneron AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Go to an urgent care and get tested RIGHT AWAY if you have symptoms (especially coughing) and at least ask them to prescribe a z-pack or prednisone or budesonide. DO NOT wait several days to see your own doctor if you have symptoms!
It has repeatedly been discussed in threads you were active in. The article stated whe was hospitalized. That kills the ability to treat early with HCQ and ivermectin protocols. So as your body fails under the CoVID replication, it becomes necessary to give you oxygen, immediately followed by hooking up to respirator and intubation for food. The sedative they give you and the tube down your throat will keep a normal person from thinking and talking.

Kind of ironic in our litigious world that “it might harm you and you will live” is worse than letting someone die without trying.

As long as it is the requirement for the doctor to be held responsible for the actions he/she takes, then it is up to them what medication is to be used to treat. This is why the term “second opinion” came into focus. If she didn’t want the vaccine the doctor was using for treatment, then find a doctor that uses the one you want. It is stupid for anyone to question the treatment of a doctor you went to see and then try to change it through media pressure.
If you are that capable, then you can order the stuff yourself in the mail. Then if you’re wrong, you do it by yourself. That’s what freedom is. It isn’t forcing actions on innocent law abiding people that believe what they are doing is correct. And right now, there are more camps of treatment around than carters little liver pills. And none are predominantly right. It’s a crap shoot.

A FReeper recently died awaiting her preferred treatment. The “doctors” refused deferring to FDA restrictions.

I don’t know. We knew our friend had COVID so my mom asked doc about it virtually. They tested her. From there as we all got sick we knew what it was. I got tested myself but from then on the rest just assumed and took it as it came. We got better.
(My MIL, unfortunately, did not, and died.)
