Couple slammed over ‘revolting’ 9/11-themed wedding

A couple is being slammed for hosting an “obscene and revolting” 9/11-themed wedding after a tasteless image emerged online of a personalized koozie featuring the Twin Towers.

The fallen towers appear to have been used in place of the number 11, according to an image of the koozie posted on Reddit on Sunday.

“Never forget. 9 11 21,” the text printed on the drink holder reads.

The names of the couple have been blurred out.

The couple have not been identified and it is unclear where the wedding took place. It also wasn’t immediately clear if the koozies were handed out to guests as wedding favors.

Nonetheless, the couple were immediately slammed as “revolting” by Reddit users.

No. I never heard the word, much less know what it means. Sounds like a variation on what I’ve heard of as a drink “cozy”; basically an insulated sleeve.

I never heard it before I moved to Texas in my early 20s.

It’s used regularly here. (As are koozies themselves. They help keep your beer cold in the hot weather.)

If you lived in MY neck of the woods, your koozie would be made of Raccoon and coordinate perfectly with our Raccoon Head Bands and fur-trimmed boots!

Of the three, I only own the Raccoon head band. Beau gives his pelts to a friend who has a thriving business making hats and koozies and such from Raccoon. ;)

It's the foam rubber thing you put around your beer to keep it cold. Also it may act as a coaster and stop the can from leaving a stain (maybe).

It was a "cozy." Now it's a "koozie." "Koozie" is trademarked, so if people keep calling it that they may lose the trademark protection.

I only vaguely heard a term for those sleeves…and it was Cozy or whatever. More appropriate than “koozie” double-O, but still never really knew what they were called. They also are far overrated! They don’t fit anything!
