He has the privilege to kiss my Christian free American hairy white unsodomized butt (basically everything CNN says is evil) if he thinks we don’t have the freedom to move around.

Wanna bet? Soviet A-hole. Lots of lines being crossed. Bad times aren’t far away IMO. When the DC junta starts down this road it won’t necessarily go any way they expect.

CNN should move the headquarters to Havana.

The way things are going, Cuba's leaders and those in Venezuela and in China and in Afghanistan and N. Korea and Iran, may all be moving their headquarters to the U.S. They're all taking lessons from the democrat party here.

Half right.

You are free (No paying for that government “passport” grift for domestic travel) to travel, however, certain means can be regulated by the State/Feds (Public transport/air/train/bus/subway, etc...). You can give the middle-finger to feds in cars/own private ground transportation though).

"The right of a citizen to travel upon the public highways and to transport his property thereon in the ordinary course of life and business is a common right which he has under his right to enjoy life and liberty, to acquire and possess property, and to pursue happiness and safety. It includes the right in so doing to use the ordinary and usual conveyances of the day; and under the existing modes of travel includes the right to drive a horse-drawn carriage or wagon thereon, or to operate an automobile thereon, for the usual and ordinary purposes of life and business. It is not a mere privilege, like the privilege of moving a house in the street, operating a business stand in the street, or transporting persons or property for hire along the street, which a city may permit or prohibit at will." [Thompson v. Smith, 155 Va. 367,154 SE 579 (1930)]

"The right to travel is a part of the liberty of which the citizen cannot be deprived without due process of law under the Fifth Amendment." [Kent v. Dulles, 357 U.S. 116, 125 (1958)]

We could go on, quoting court decision after court decision; however, the Constitution itself answers our question - Can a government legally put restrictions on the rights of the American people at anytime, for any reason?

The answer is found in Article Six of the U.S. Constitution:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof;...shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

Either she entirely does not understand the nature of rights, and the fount there of, or she is pretending not to in an ugly and duplicitous way.

CNN health pundit shows a breathtaking lack of knowledge of the Constitution. Article IV is widely cited as providing protections for exactly that. Hopefully the “health pundit” knows more about health than he/she knows about the Constitution, but being CNN I kind of doubt it.

CNN is just that ignorant and stupid. They don’t know the difference between driving is a privilege and travel is a Constitutional Gid-given RIGHT that WE the People have expressed for ourselves. No one at CNN can read. No one who watches CNN can read.

Thank you, ThunderSleeps for clarifying what Amendment.

It goes well beyond the Constitution. It goes to the very nature of rights. What they are and from whence they come.

She talks about “no Constitutional right” to travel on trains and buses in error, for there is no such such thing as a “Constructional right.” The Constitution does not confer rights, and the Bill of Rights serves primarily to identify certain particular rights which the Federal Government is precluded, ab initio, from violating.
