I think it’s you who doesn’t know much about ICU care. Doctors come in, make rounds in mere minutes, and then leave, same on the med/surgery wards. Who is there 24/7? Nurses. Who else is there a lot? The family. Posters here have all had a family member in an ICU or at least a hospital ward.
