The mother of a Marine who died in the suicide attack at Kabul Airport in August has invited Donald Trump to his funeral after the former president responded to her viral social media attack on President Joe Biden.
Shana Chappell, the mother of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui, asked Trump to attend the service which is due to take place at the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, on September 18th.

That’s very touching. I think I know what will happen on this. Mr. Trump will attend the funeral, or at least some of it, but it will be very low key. There probably won’t even be any public photographs of him with that family.
I would be very surprised if he had any speaking role in the service, although many will beg him to do so. I think Trump will keep it low key so that it won’t look as though he is using that grieving family and that tragic funeral as his most recent Soap Box to give a speech and to be seen.

Funerals are funny things. People go there with their own ideas of what was special about the deceased. Meaning, it’s possible that not all of Shana’s family members are Trump supporters. In fact, it’s very possible, as he was always seen as a controversial president to those who get all their news from main stream media.
I imagine that Mamma Chappell rules her family. The media might dig up some outlaying family that might disagree but I say Mamma rules with and iron hand.

Yup. He should NOT attend the funeral. He should go and meet with the parents in private at a hotel. He should listen, and console, and explain if he comes, his presence will detract from the ceremony for the slain honored son. Give them as much time in private as they wish to consume, then invite the family back after. He should say nothing to the eneMedia except for his sorrow for the hero son. Nothing.
