Dallas at the Bucs. No way Tom Brady loses this to a Dallas team with a questionable Dak Prescott ... and not much else. Bucs.

Philly at Atlanta. Two very questionable teams but the Falcons still have Matty Ice and some receivers whereas the Eagles have big question marks on the offense. Falcons.

Pitt at Buffalo. Big expectations for the Bills this season. And Big Ben and Company? Who knows..... Bills.

Vikings at Bengals. Season 2 for Joe Burrow ... and the Vikings have been the definition of hit-or-miss recently. In the mild upset... Bengals.

Niners at Detroit. The Lions.... how can they be so bad for so long? And with Matthew Stafford and Megatron.... Well, they are both gone and I dont see that absence improving the Lions' play. Niners.

Arizona at Tennessee. The Titans have been very consistent over the last two seasons. The Cards.... well, they have shown improvement. But this is a tough road opener. Titans.

Seattle at Indy. I usually dont pick a West Coast team in an East Coast road game (okay, midwest) but I dont see the Colts being able to keep up with the Seahawks O. Seahawks.

Chargers at Washington. Love the Chargers this season and Justin Herbert is the real deal. Whether he succumbs to a sophomore slump will be revealed. But not in this game. Chargers.

Jets at Carolina. Sam Darnold faces the team that gave up on him. I still think Darnold has what it takes; the Jets, in typical Jets fashion, mishandled him. And now he has McCaffrey and a lot of other options. Panthers.

Jax at Houston. No Deshaun Watson starting for the Texans. Too bad for the Texans. They were on the cusp two seasons ago now they are in total disarray. Trevor Lawrence wins his NFL debut. Jaguars.

Cleveland at KC. The Browns return to KC where their season ended last year in a close loss. Maybe getting the Chiefs in Week 1 is a good break. Browns will win and send season expectations sky-high... only to be later dashed. Browns.

Miami at NewEngland. Sorry the Phish are not going into NE and winning. Bill Belichick will not allow it! Patriots.

Green Bay at New Orleans. I cannot get behind Jameis Winston. Sure he'll throw for three TDs... He'll also throw three or more picks. Packers.

Denver at New York. I don't know what to make of either of these teams. Daniel Jones shows occasional flashes and I dont even know who is QBing the Broncos. So the Giants win this game of two teams going nowhere. Giants.

Bears at Rams. The Rams will trot out their new QB Matthew Stafford. And he will have a smashing debut! Rams.

Ravens at Raiders. The Ravens wil ruin the Raiders premier at their new stadium with fans in attendance for the first time. Ravens.

Eagles outfly the Dirty Birds.

Bills are going to kill it this year, start by embarrassing the Squealers.

Bungles upset Vikings, the hapless Vikings

Titans win a close one against Cards

Miami is better today than the Patriots, Fish win big.

Packers breeze to a win over the Aints.

Bengals will win.

You want a telling statistic on the Lions? In 2014 the Detroit Tigers drafted a pitcher out of Whitehouse High School in the 37th round. Patrick Mahomes didn't sign a contract and instead went to Texas Tech. So that means that the Detroit Tigers have drafted more Super Bowl winning quarterbacks than the Detroit Lions have.
