I wonder how many here, given a serious cancer diagnosis in the future, would refuse drugs of this derivation

I can only speak for myself, but I wouldn't take it.

I work at taking care of my health so I don't get cancer in the first place. It's not like a lottery. To a large extent, there are causes and effects that determine who gets it and who doesn't. If I WOULD develop cancer, I'd have a lot more faith in natural methods of enhancing my innate immune system to fight off the cancer than any artificial chemicals that might actually do more harm than good to my immune system.

And if my own approach doesn't work? I have no illusions of immortality. After seeing what two of my sisters went through in their last couple of years of treatment before eventually succumbing to cancer, I'll pass on that. No treatment for me, outside of probably something to make the pain bearable.

I've had a good life. When I die, whether it's tomorrow or 30 years from now, some will grieve, and then they'll move on with their lives. Just like people have been doing for thousands of years.

"I’m just upset."

I'm surprised that this thread seems to be about you being upset because you might face a risk.

My daughter, who is 43 lives next door with her husband and two kids. She and her husband have both been vaccinated.

My wife and I are 77. That means that our chances of both surviving COVID if we get it is maybe 80%.

My wife and I have never encouraged our daughter's family to get the vaccine and their two kids are too young for it. If we do get the COVID the chances are good that it would come from our school age grandson.

Our visits next door get especially limited when anybody has symptoms of just about anything. My son-in-law tested negative twice recently using a home test.

Years ago, when facing problems, I adopted the motto, "This too shall pass." We do the best we can to avoid mistakes and continue to live our lives.

I know the feeling my father, stepmother, aunt and uncle says I should get the shot(s). I'm very skeptical on it myself, knowing how rushed vaccines like the 1935 attempt at polio and the 1976 Swine Flu turned out horrible. At least they respect my choice even though they disagree with me. I'm 55 and the only risk factor I know of is I'm overweight. I figure I should be OK with one "strike." I wonder if I had it in early 2020 in January, I was sick and feverish as a dog for three or four days, getting out of bed to feed the cat or even to go to bathroom took an act of God, I basically just laid there and held it until I could not anymore, I ached so bad. All I could do is lay there and listen to my shortwave radio, scanner or watch anime on Hulu. Anyhoo, I woke up late one night, choking and hard to breathe. I sat up and stopped panicking the best I could, calmed myself down and I was breathing better. it was bad to lay down so I just sat up to sleep and if I could not, just sit there, pet the cat and watch MeTV or anime.

I often wonder if I had a variant of the Coronavirus in 1997. After I lost my grandmother that year during Holy Week, Mom and I got super sick, we were both sick for two weeks, everything hurt, even the hair on my head felt like it hurt. We ordered pizza one time for dinner and Mom took a few bites, chewed funny and then said, " can't taste or smell it, it's like eating cardboard." I had diminished taste and smell myself.

I would get he jab if it was much worse Coronavirus like a 10% or 20% mortality or more, turns me into a zombie or or make my head fall off, etc., but at 99.5% of survival rate, it ain't worth a change. If I was 70 , I'd be more open but still skeptical.

You don’t have to take the horse paste ivermection. Use an on line doc to get the people stuff.

“That’s one of my biggest sticking point. Any well-intentioned authority figure would reasonably suggest people get tested for antibodies before even considering the vaccine. Yet the exact opposite happens.”

Great thinking.
Now I’ll repeat:
The new variant that has hit 48 states, the Mu variant, can’t be stopped by existing vaccines nor antibodies you received from the Covid 19 flu.

I’m the old fart in the family. My wife and daughter took Madera and were sick for a 3 days. I was sicker than a dog for Christmas 2019 and think I had it. Although our local pharmacy gives us antibody tests, they are always full and I have to call back later.

I’d love to be tested for antibodies, but can’t. If I had antibodies, my family would stop having to be so careful to protect me.

If this were a true, not political pandemic, people would be given at home antibody tests. People that tested positive for antibodies would be able to go living their normal lives. Antigen tests would tell a person to self-quarantine.

At home antigen tests are available for $24 and will give you an answer in 15 minutes if you are infected. With all the money the government is spending, this should be priority one.

Antibody test exist. At home antibody tests don’t exist. This should be government spending two.

I post an extensive log of health news here:
Health - Agitators / Group / Gab Social

I log everything, but don’t post everything on Gab because by the time I read it, sometimes it is old news.

Forgive me but at first glance I thought your heading read ‘’job’’.

Tell them you did get it. How would they know otherwise?

FWIW, I have been taking horse paste on Saturdays for the last seven weeks. No side effects whatsoever. Got it at Tractor Supply.

You first need to understand WHY you are upset about this.

THEN you can deal with it properly.

I think it is safe to assume your parents don’t want you dead or injured from taking the jab.

Obviously they are buying into the propaganda, and feelings have simply overruled reason.

That’s where you have to keep your focus... forcing them to use reason to examine the evidence.

You KNOW the government is already pushing boosters... so I think at this point it is YOU who should be pressuring THEM not to take any more.

I would be upset too knowing my own parents have been deceived... just understand what is driving the anger so you can control it... and not the other way around.

Assuming you’re of legal age to make you’re own medal decisions.....I’d inform them of your being an adult and this is a decision you will make. It’s really that simple.

If you’re ‘feeling pressured’ by your parents then you need to check feelings at the door and determine your own path...in all things.

Oh my gosh....just read you’re 45! and you’re still feeling pressure from parents? How about just saying it’s not open for discussion....and end the conversations.

The last time I did what my parents wanted me to do, I was 21 and finally out on my own.

Luckily, even though they were super strict (Baptist preacher), they also believed that they had raised me right (questionable), and my my choices were my own.

“the most notable thing was cramps”

What kind of cramps? Stomach? Leg? I had not heard of Fauci Flu affecting the stomach.

We were on a cruise February 2020 and hubby was down for a couple days with a fever and nausea. We thought it could be Covid, but the stomach thing seemed out of place for that.

That’s the same question I had. Getting the shot is a choice and a definite action. Getting the disease is a matter of simple bad luck.
