It’s just the flu, bro.
Every six months I check out the Nextdoor App. It is a not anonymous social networking and commenting on threads for local neighborhoods.
This is the typical post: “Had my second Pfizer shot yesterday. Thankful that I could do my part to help keep our community safe! Struggling with chills, diarrhea, and eye tremors for the past 24 hours and I am looking forward to these symptoms passing soon!”
This is the typical reply for every one of approximately 30 replies. “Woo hoo! Glad you did your part to help keep us safe. My brother still hasn’t left the bed since he had his shot five days ago, but it is all better than getting Covid.”
This is my reply, which is promptly deleted by the Nextdoor app for spreading misinformation about the vaccine: “Many people have experienced side effects from the vaccine. Some people may want to consider not getting the vaccine as some people are worse off with ether vaccine than actually catching the virus itself.”

For us right-minded conservatives, libertarians and constitutionalists it will be a non-stop struggle to retain our liberties. Our society is filled with people who want to compel others to do what they don’t want to do so that they can feel good about themselves. Covidiots are proud of their vaccinations and they are upset that antivaxxers aren’t so impressed that someone got a needle. This is the same concept as lefties being upset that some people drive around alone in SUVs when they could be taking a bus or driving a Prius.

For all those Vaxers who now understand they are super-spreaders, how can you sit there and still claim you got the "vaccine" to do your duty for your fellow man, to selflessly protect others, for the sake of mankind?
What a load of garbage. Time to tell the truth. You got the jab because you were afraid of an agonizing death. You are now a common carrier and a spreader of disease....doing that for mankind are we?
Why aren’t we all dead?
I prefer my neighborhood in Nextdoor. Almost all of the posts are about lost dogs, found dogs and “what’s this bug in my yard”.
Nope.
I got the jab because I was and am and always will be sick and tired of masks, (anti)social distancing, restrictions on gatherings, and tyrannical governors attempting to shut down anything their pee brains deemed "unessential".
I fear the spread of tyranny more than I do the Coup-Flu.
And snakes! A poster from my neighborhood suggested everyone do a shot whenever a snake picture is posted.
Another thing I noticed...My neighbors all seem to hate our local cable company :)
“I fear the spread of tyranny more than I do the Coup-Flu.”
You imply that mandating masks is tyranny. How is a vaccine mandate not tyranny? Now they’re saying that fully vaxed people still should wear masks.
(BTW ... This never has been about a virus.)
I agree!
Has it been two weeks yet?
IBTAK.
I am anti mandatory mask and anti mandatory vaxx.
Make your choices, take your chances.
That’s called FREEDOM.
You mean a thread every two weeks? I am thinking a little less structured than that. I am not afraid of posting stuff on back to back days, especially if I ever fear the Covidiots will. Take over Texas.
No, the original two weeks to flatten the curve?
I’m pretty sure I had this terrible nightmare where we lost our freedoms, destroyed our economy, and released vaccines that didn’t work. It was terrible...
Not to be crass but the “two weeks to flatten the curve” is equal to the “let’s try just the tip”.
Both are tricks with the same goal.

I don’t do Nextdoor and am not sure how this deleting works. Who decided what you wrote should be deleted? Is there some sort of administrator of your local Nextdoor group?
I might suggest that instead of posting what is essentially your opinion, next time post some facts with solid sources. For instance, post about the numbers of people in Israel who are vaxxed and coming down with the ‘rona and how they are heading toward their 4th booster. So these people who posted about how sick they got from the vax they took to “do their part” can look forward to getting sick again with the booster.
Don’t post too much at once.
When you start to get replies to the post about Israel, follow up with a post about a study on the superiority of natural immunity and after that a post, with solid, unassailable sources, such as your state’s heath department web site page on ‘rona stats, about the low numbers of people who die from ‘the rona, especially among those under the age that was the average age of death in 2019.
Take screenshots of your posts and replies—just in case you want to make a federal case out of it if they are deleted or you are suspended or you want to write at length on FR about your experience and they are deleted.
Please do make a Flubros thread out of your experience with this if you do it. I am very interested in the response.
I am very much in favor of media censorship of right wing and/or left wing sources. Jim Robinson privately owns Freerepublic and I am glad he censors lefties out. So I point out what happens on Nextdoor more as a warning as to what happens on these ostensibly centrist social media platforms. These “centrist” platforms do attempt to drive the narrative very much toward Covid-related bioauthoritarianism. But so be it. We need to be aware and have our own competing platforms.
Life goes on good, bad or indifferent.
Death is just a part of the process.
