I wonder if any government statistics are being kept on this. It is very important to know if people can really have COVID-19 twice. There are so many false positives which got called a case as part of the way to defeat Trump that we don’t know what to believe. I hope people respond to your request.
According to experts ( the real ones, like Dr Peter McCullough) it is so rare to catch covid twice that is statistically an anomaly.
More likely some people get covid and do not completely clear the virus…it remains latent ( like HIV) and then can reemerge. This seems to occur in some people after they take the vaccine.
The second time he was much sicker.
That said I am not entirely sure, he didn't have the flu at round two. Just my opinion.
It was at the height of flu season which I guess didn't occur this past year.
Then he got two Pfizer v@x and got very sick with each dose.
Have had people tell me a grapefruit and cola will test positive for covid
If you don’t get tested, then you can’t get ‘it’.
The PCR test also shows positive with the flu. That makes early records of catching covid twice with natural immunity dubious. People that caught covid “twice” likely had the flu and covid.
The only reason you would “catch it twice” would be because the first time you didn’t really have it, and it was a false-positive.
Or the second time.
Or both.
Could just be 2 common colds. Hard to tell.
Since the PCR test doesn’t distinguish between Covid and other influenza’s, coronaviruses etc., you could get different illnesses and test postive for Covid twice.
Run enough pcr cycles and I can get you to test positive virtually everytime. Typical cycles are around 20-25 and we were running upwards of 40 cycles before Biden, you know just to be sure…..
It is also important to remember pcr cannot tell live from dead particles.
The take away is the pcr testing for diagnosis of covid is a fraud…. The greatest accomplishment of the powers that be, was convincing everyone that someone without symptoms are sick. We used to call those without symptoms NOT SICK.
I got ‘it’ twice spread out over 18 months, and I’m sharing as many details as you.
Congrats on your acquired immunity and (presumed) return to good health. Now if your brain could only accept it...
Probably need to specify vaxxed or unvaxxed. Might make a difference.
Full natural immunity, unvaxxed, is supposed to last for many years.
When my wife started working at a nursing home ten years ago, she brought home the flu and colds(coronaviruses) every other week and we were sick a LOT. Then about five years ago, it just stopped and we no longer got sick. Guess we had everything there was to catch and were immune. Lasting for years.
I forget who said it, toerh Peter McCullough or Yeardon, that people who has SARS over 15 years ago, have immunity to SARS-covid.
I have no idea how many times I’ve had covid, if any, because the symptoms are too similar to too many other possible ailments - so I have never been sufficiently concerned to bother getting tested.
And even if I did get tested, I don’t know if I could trust the results, because apparently there are many factors that can lead to false positives or false negatives - including timing of the test relative to the infection, timing of the test relative to the vaccine, presence of a similar coronavirus, such as a cold virus, or simply the limitations of the test methodology.
I think if we had never been told about this virus, and no one had taken any countermeasures, we would have been a lot better off, and overall annual hospitalizations and mortality rates would have been well within the normal range.
But without a crisis, there is no excuse for the state to control everything.
Therefore, it was made into a crisis.
When EVERYTHING is Covid, you CAN catch it multiple times... no problem!
She said she was not vaccinated because she has Hashimoto’s disease and her doctor advised against it.
I know somebody who got it december and again in june, both involved brief hospital stays. The fact is everybody’s antibodies are different. Some folks generate a lot of antibodies for a long time, some produce a little, some produce for only a short time. How often do you get sick? That’ll tell you most of what you need to know. If you catch every cold that cruises through your office you probably don’t make a lot of antibodies and/or don’t make them for long. If you can’t remember your last cold you don’t get a second round of anything.
I had Covid last year. Very mild case (lost smell, felt like mild flu with different mild achy after-effects).
This year, had prolonged exposure (son caught it, new strain going around at school) - I didn’t get it again, tested negative twice (will likely test again tomorrow).
One of the channels I subscribe to on YouTube is hosted by a woman who had Covid about 4 months ago. So was her husband. They were told to delay having a vaccination until at least 3 months had gone by. 3 weeks or so ago, her teenage son came down with it and brought it back into the house. Sure enough, they came down with it again. Her husband had gotten himself vaccinated, but she hadn’t yet. Her husband ended up recovering fairly quickly but she became very sick and had to be admitted to the hospital where they kept her a couple of days.
I heard her speaking after she was released. She could barely breathe and just wanted to give up. She’s doing better now, at least she sounds better, and only has oxygen at night now.
I’m sure every day will be a little better, but it’s slow.
Thank you to those posting your personal stories about the key question on the table. Very helpful.
Side question: Did anyone get the Regeneron treatment? Do you think it helped you?
I suspect it is very rare to get reinfected after a Covid-19 case. Why? Because if it were common, then we would be hearing about it All. The. Time. Anecdotal reinfection stories would be used in the media on a daily basis to convince the vaccine hesitant to take the jab.
