Willard was also the first 'Ronald McDonald'.
I liked seeing him, especially his daily tributes to selected centenarians that he did on 'Today'.
As a broadcaster, he was in a class all his own.

Neighbor of mine’s grandmother turned 100. They tried to get her name on Willard Scott’s segment. Just turning 100 wasn’t enough. Sounded like her relatives had to jump through allot of hoops to get her name on the show.
