What’s really funny is that many of the rabid anti-vaccer’s are the first to use, uh, twist data from Worldometers as soon as they possibly can, to try to convince us that, for example, the vaccines are not working in Israel. In fact, Worldometers’ data indicates the vaccines are doing a very good job of holding down Covid fatalities in Israel. Israel’s CFR is way down, this wave.
There IS a problem with FL’s data on Worldometers, but that is because of how FL is reporting.
In a sense I do not consider myself “pro vaccination”. I defer to the individual and their PCP’s recommendation - at least providing their PCP has thorough and preferably long term experience with their patient.

Approximately 70-79% of all folks 65+ are hypertensive. This is well beyond obese or overweight totals. It’s just numerical reality. It’s mildly annoying that the narrative has converged on “old with comorbidities”. 70-79% is so large a proportion there’s no point in bothering to say “with comorbidities” Just say old. That will cover it.
The old are vulnerable to death by Covid. The young are not.
BUT.
Every infection — every replication of virus inside a cell — is a mutation engine. Regardless of age. Regardless of vax. If you have lung cells replicating an unstable virus such that the replication is so often not precise, it doesn’t matter if the lung cell is old or vaxed, it’s still a mutation engine.

I've come to believe that much of the vitriol displayed toward people who believe that the Wuflu is a serious disease and that vaccination is a wise choice for many people is because the unhinged anti-vaxer types and some others for whom this has become a political fight lump us in with the tyrants demanding not only vaccination but also all the absurd policies forced on people by an out of control government.
