Kirk Herbstreit Has A Message For Clemson, Georgia Fans Thursday night’s college football TV schedule: The season kicks off in earnest
a man wearing a helmet: Mitchell Leff/Getty Images© Provided by The Big Lead Mitchell Leff/Getty Images Cam Newton was somewhat surprisingly released by the New England Patriots earlier this week as Bill Belichick has found a new chosen one in Mac Jones. Newton, a former MVP who the organization thought enough of to give a try replacing the legendary Tom Brady, is now a man without a team. Which isn't crazy right now but will get increasingly more crazy as time passes because, for all his faults, he's capable of winning NFL games as a starter — still a rare commodity in an uneven NFL.
With the Dallas Cowboys signing Will Grier to compete for the backup role, the landing spots are drying up for Newton. Appearing on NFL Network this afternoon, Ian Rapoport wondered if it's time to start asking if Newton gets a job instead of when.

When Cam stepped back from the football in the superbowl he became a liability. I have no doubt Tom Brady would have been digging for the ball it that happened to him.

In the grand scheme of things Newton was never a top tier QB. He was decent, but just another face among a long line of average QB’s for the NFL.

Yes, I saw that. He was telling the world how great he was during the pre-game shows.

I have a 32” and a 55”, but neither are used for watching “tv.” I will download movies and watch videos on Rumble, Bitchute and Odysee. That’s really about it.

FANTASTIC in college, where his size and speed overwhelmed. But, NOT in the NFL.
I expect Baltimore to hire him as a backup to Lamar. Same skill set.

He is a running QB on old legs. And his arm isn’t that great.
He has some years left…but it sucks losing your edge.

Cam did stay away from the fumble. The Denver defense destroyed Cam. The Denver defense broke Cam. The other teams in the NFL saw that they could brutalize Cam and get away with it. Com 6’6” tall and 260 lbs. bigger than a defensive end. The League allowed Cam to be destroyed. Now, Cam is broken. His body is destroyed. He can not play at a high level anymore. And he did not get the jab. His hope for the future is to try to keep his money and try to have fun playing volleyball with the young adults in the park.
