I remember one time prior to this option the office I visited said that their version of the dilation was so mild, that they did not provide the plastic sunglasses and it would be safe to drive home. I didn’t think I would make it home alive and stopped somewhere to eat as soon as I could to let it wear off a little.
You should be able to get it if you get the inoculation. There are a lot of job openings for those that choose this route. Part of the resume.
Should have gone with J&J. One and done. And as safe as other flu shots (except for females taking hormones. And maybe males taking female hormones).

I had the Wuhan virus last Christmas, and being in my 50’s it was no big deal. Even played golf 5 days after testing positive (by my self of course).
I did get the moderna 1st shot last Friday and felt good till mid day Saturday. The next 24 hours I felt twice as bad when I had Covid. This Monday I was fine.
This is a personal choice for the stab. Research the data and make your choice. When I get my second stab, will probably take a few days vacation and hopefully play golf one of those days.
So anyways, until they start offering the Novavax ‘jab’ in Kanadahar (Canada), there is no flipping way that the prix, or AHs at Alberta Health Services, are going to ‘jab’ me!
If they try to make it a requirement for my job? It will first go to the union, then to a civil rights lawyer, then to a Constitutional lawyer. No F’n way, will I get any of the four current vaxes available in Kanadahar. Only Novavax for me.

I read a heartbreaking story about a high school senior in New Mexico who was a big football quarterback star with the potential of a full scholarship at major colleges, and Covid hit his Senior year when he knew scouts would be coming around...and New Mexico locked everything down and cancelled the season.
Yet ten miles away from his small New Mexico town, right over the Texas border, their schools didn’t close, lock down, or cancel the season.
The kid was so despondent he killed himself.
I had some mild side effects. I’m invisible now, but I don’t know if it’s from the vaccine.

The Optometrist/Ophthalmologist office I go to doesn't offer that option at the moment. I was just there a couple of weeks ago for my yearly exam.
By the way, I knew the numbers were high...did not know they were that high. That is gut-churning.
It seems the younger you are the worse it is. My daughter felt lousy for 48 hours. DH and I had maybe a bit of fatigue but nothing impressive
Got the Pfizer shots in May-June with zero side effects except a more restful night’s sleep than usual after the first dose. I had been holding out for Novavax but the release date kept getting pushed back, so I took the plunge. So far so good.

Earlier in my life, after an injection in a doctor’s office, I would almost certainly be dead if I had done that. Anaphylaxis set in and even with the medical providers in the next room and epinepherine handy they barely got my BP up in time.
I understand that, but the point is to make sure you don’t have a bad allergic reaction to the shot that they would need to treat you for immediately. That wait is for you, not them.
