Interesting. Vaccine crash and a no-fly zone?
Broken vials? Ground water contamination anyone? Flowing into streams and rivers? Three eyed fishes for breakfast anyone? :-}
Sidebar:
I’ve never seen a description of the logistical requirements for transportation of these doses which require supercold storage, nor have I thought about looking for one until now.
Anyone have a source? My logical brain tells me that there had to be a self-contained cold storage unit within the tractor trailer, but I’ve never seen a pic or specifications for said unit.
This is not a duplicate.
This is a continuation and an update of the first one. Title posting issues. Mods, if problem, please assist. See below.
” . . .The deputy repeatedly stated that we would need to call the governorâs office for more information. After doing so, a spokesperson for the office of Governor Jim Justice said âhere in the governorâs office we donât know anything about that.â
Witnesses said that there were an intense amount of cleanup crews and first responders at the scene.
âStill backed up, drove by an hour ago, looks like a small village has been set up ⌠mobile labs, pop-up tents, lights, sat phone antennas, Fayette Co Command Center, Mon Co Command Ctr and more,â Brenda Landis-Haas of Morgantown wrote on the Monongalia County Sheriffâs Office Facebook page.
Another witness who spoke to Timcast said that press was not allowed anywhere near the scene and that there were âall kinds of clean up crews Iâve never even heard of.â
Airspace surrounding the crash was also closed according to a report from WBOY. Local residents said that people were being stopped from flying hobby drones to see what was going on.
Multiple concerned residents commented on the sheriffâs Facebook post asking if there were any toxins leaked into the area and did not receive a response.
âA truck carrying 1.2 million doses of Moderna vaccine destined for Ghana had an accident on the way to Dulles airport. We understand the driver was taken to hospital but has since been discharged,â an HHS spokesperson told Timcast. âCOVAX and its partner agencies wish the driver a full and speedy recovery and are working closely with the US Government to ensure disruptions to shipments of life-saving vaccines are as minimal as possible.â
Timcast has now reached out to the DOD and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
Editors note: The fact that Timcast was referred to the National COVID Response Press Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was not included in the article as it was originally published. We updated this article to include more context and information.
We have also added a comment from a spokesperson at HHS.

With all the REFUGEES-—don’gt we need the vaccines here????
The ‘vaccines’ were destined for Ghana apparently.
Yeah, I’m totally going to inject myself with something you need a hazmat tent city set up to clean up if it spills. Sure thing.
Seems the powers to be know just how poisonous that crap isâŚ..and they do not need the â sheepleâ to get their hands on a few samples- the analysis would be embarrassing.
What an odd response to an overturned truck...

Yes, in agreement with your comments.
And a sample of the vaccine would be a good idea.
Like everything else that crashes, the U.S. will just take the spoiled vaccines and sell them to Latin American countries for a fraction of the price.
I remember when i was in the hospital getting chemo. The nurses were covered and had full protection to prepare giving me this specific type. It was the strangest thing.
Cant have anyone grabbing a couple of boxes and conducting testing.
What in the world????
The vaccines are shipped with lots of Dry Ice.
When Dry Ice mixes with certain things is can be badâŚâŚ..might be why Hazmat and Governor notified.
Agreed. Closed airspace for a truck crash? I've heard of that a couple of times if there was risk of a significant explosion or fire - like fuel/chemical trucks or trucks carrying ordnance - but for a "routine" truck crash?
The story says around mile marker 144. Now that could put it near the approach to runway 23 at Fairmont Municiple Airport but it seems odd.
It’s just dry ice...I can’t see what could possibly present a hazard.
