Agreed. Closed airspace for a truck crash? I've heard of that a couple of times if there was risk of a significant explosion or fire - like fuel/chemical trucks or trucks carrying ordnance - but for a "routine" truck crash?
The story says around mile marker 144. Now that could put it near the approach to runway 23 at Fairmont Municiple Airport but it seems odd.
Closing airspace is mostly done these days to protect the state from anything embarrassing. In old America, it was solely for safety reasons.
Now its done solely to prevent aerial photos.
