Australia is set to end its "covid zero" policy after Prime Minister Scott Morrison determined that the country’s approach is not "sustainable" in the face of the more infectious COVID-19 delta variant.
Australia has maintained a strict policy of restrictions and lockdowns to stamp out any outbreak, but the government over the weekend laid out a new plan that marks a sharp change in policy.
The government will drop most restrictions once 80% of adults are vaccinated, which the government believes could happen by the end of the year, The Economist reported. Any further action would occur only after hospitals reached a point at which they could no longer cope with new cases, but will otherwise handle what they can.

No one in Australia should believe anything their government says, they have proven to be despots, and they will do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want.
The headline and article contradict each other. “Once 80% vaxx poisoned is reached” but only 27% are poisoned right now so Australia will stay in lockdown forever or until the covid tyrants are dispensed with.
It’s not like “On The Beach,” where every last human is going to die of radiation sooner or later. It’s a flu virus.
Nobody needs to lock down a whole country, and consign civil liberties to the dustbin, over a 99 percent survivable flu.
If they do that they have a bigger problem than a flu.
And saying they won’t go full insane isn’t at all reassuring.

The new policy is:
“We will lift the lockdown when you get vaccinated to the 80 percent of the population level but we will impose vaxx passports at that point as well”

Perhaps, but Morrison's Daily Threat Matrix likely had absolute proof that the trucker's strike, the silent protest, all had support in the millions. This in a nation of just 26M. Oz politicians are some practical mfr's.
They were afraid of the population kicking some Marxist ass. The elites need to start feeling some pain.
The question is whether this move by the government will dupe the people into abandoning their protests.

What the heck is the matter with the Aussies. They should be actively working to bring down the government and call for immediate new elections. Are there no conservatives in Australia to lead the charge for new elections? Perhaps they should look to the Brits and form a new Independence Party. Bring in Nigel Farage
