A few days ago, it appeared that someone had hacked their way into a few Free Republic accounts, then commenced to post ridiculous, often obscene posts.
As a matter of caution, I logged out for a few days. However, since I have returned to the fray, I see articles by headline as before, but nothing shows any text as it usually does.
Now, I'm under the Nancy Pelosi rules of expectation in that: I have to open the post to see what's in it. I can deal with it. At least I can read what's "Hot" with other posts, or post my own comments, but it would be nifty to have the text back again. Any suggestions? It's probably something I did wrong.
The headline is all I ever need to make a comment.......

In the blue box. To the right you have a choice of brevity or text. Choose text
Who needs articles?
Look at the top of the list you will see three words. Brevity, headers and text. Click each one until it looks the way you are used to seeing it
Log out. Clear your browser. Close your browser. Go get a cup of coffee. Restart your browser. Log in.
Headers or text. Anyway , I use headers

On the right just under “Latest Articles” it says Brevity: Headers | Text.
Click Text.

You probably have Headers selected.
Account button at the top, then My Preferences gives you some settings, then there is Brevity: Headers | « Text » at the right in the line just above posts but below Freepathon.

I thought maybe some Moderator had put me into the
Penalty Box for something I appear to have said.
I’ve learned not to step on too many toes while online anyhere. Well I’ve mostly learned.
