The headlines are scary. Australia, locked down and people arrested for leaving home. Camps being set up for internment. In Chicago, a mother stripped of parental rights because she won’t get the jab. Teen athletes, stricken with myocarditis and pericarditis. Eric Clapton, who took the shot and lost the use of his hands, writing a protest song. Restaurants and venues requiring vaccination certificates for entry. Articles showing that in Israel, the most vaccinated country in the world, the vaccinated are falling to COVID in droves, while the unvaccinated aren’t having the same problems.
What are we supposed to believe? Our own lying eyes, or our government and scientists performing under duress? How are we supposed to live when we know this is a nightmare and we can’t get out?
I’ve spent some time trying to make sense of the San Jose Mercury News’s incomprehensible report about a study from UCSF. The author of the study, Dr. Charles Chiu, is quoted extensively in it, so I don’t know if the twisting of facts is his or the newspaper writer’s doing. I don’t know if the study mentioned will pass peer review (it hasn’t yet), but I know I am rolling my eyes trying to make sense of what it says and, while I don’t have a medical education, I do read, extensively, about science and COVID.
The article starts out by talking about the troubling surge in “breakthrough” cases among the vaccinated. It opens using the phrase “waning immunity and ferocious contagion.” It talks about how the virus is learning to outsmart “our immune system.” But from what I can tell, what the virus is outsmarting, for the most part, is the vaccine and how it affects the immune system.

If all the vaccinated people are going to get covid, and the vaccine usually keeps the illness mild, then those people will have natural immunity, which is more broad spectrum and more long-lasting. Why an endless schedule of boosters?

The data coming from the most vaccinated nations like Israel, Malta, Great Britain says the opposite. It is the vaccinated that are getting sick and dying, carrying greater viral loads. This is a failed experiment. Why wasn’t proper testing done?

First, the Australians have few guns. Beyond that, who would they shoot? The 21 year old fresh faced cop who is doing the job he was ordered to do? Shooting him would do no good whatsoever. Killing every cop wouldn’t stop the insanity because the people who are doing this will then switch to the Army. Occasionally, the spittle spewing Freeper will demand that we “do something.” And my answer is we live in a society with the rule of law. “We” elected lawmakers who are doing this. The only way to stop them is to throw them out of office. At this point they say, “Oh, how cute. You think elections matter.” Well, they do. And, forty percent of the electorate want exactly what is happening. They will vote Democrat every time even if they have to mail it in from a gulag. Every election is for the eleven percent 0f the 20% undecided in the middle that will add to the forty percent of conservatives. (Fifty one percent of the middle 20 percent.) But those in that percentage are so unconcerned with politics they don’t know the cause of our misery. They vote based on what the media has told them last. That’s how these monsters remain in power. It’s up to us to target the 20 percent undecided and educate them. Really, only the Republican party can reach them and the pubbies do not run any kind of media campaign to counter what the regular media feeds us. So, I guess our target should be our local Republican apparatus. That’s tough. I’ve been to a few meetings and the apparatus is firmly in the hands of men who have a sense we need to return to 1955 and they are not dealing with the current situation. It’s obvious a few of them are on the Biden mental track to senility. But they are firmly in control.
