I’ll do some research, but anyone know how the latest Mauder Minimun is progressing?
The title at the website is a bit hyperbolic - grin. The exclamation point makes it seem like armageddon. Still interesting though for space geeks.
Carrington event 1859
“I fear that Joe Biden has lost the Mandate of Heaven.”
We’ll all take solace in that observation.
The Carrington Event of 1859 would be a catastrophe for the Earth if a repeat of it were to happen in the present day.

The coronal mass ejection from today's M4.9 solar flare can be called nothing else than a disappointment. The CME is faint, slow and mostly aimed southwards. We expect little or no effects from it once if it arrives at our planet. More M-class events from 2860 remain possible.
