You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days.  If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.

5:06.32 Another tough one (for me). I did it the hard way: a blind guess at BXK, which lead me, albeit slowly, to the first two words, and after that it was easy.

I cheated then realized I should have figured out the first two words.

That’s what I did. There are only so many two letter words you start a sentence with, so, considering letter frequency,...1...2...zoom.

I started it yesterday morning, spent about 15 minutes on it, and then set it aside because it was a busy day. I picked it up fresh about 10 minutes ago and finally worked it out.

I had a pretty good idea what letter the X was by process of elimination, and then started putting letters into the double-letter word RWWM until other words started to appear. Then I got words three and four and was off to the solve.
