Russia’s flagship “Combat Olympics” featured a peculiar ballet performance on top of tanks.
Videos from the International Army Games 2021 (ArMI-2021) showed two ballerinas in tutus and pointer shoes pirouetting, arabesque-ing and pliéing to “Swan Lake” in a pas de deux with uniformed servicemen.
The dancers' eyebrow-raising performance takes place two years after a central Russian volunteer military service staged an eccentric International Women’s Day photoshoot featuring armed and camouflaged servicemen posing alongside ballerinas inside an empty metro station.
It also comes days after the 30th anniversary of the 1991 August coup, when “Swan Lake” played on a loop on Soviet televisions as communist hardliners attempted to seize power from Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.

Woke Milley can dress in the tutu
That’s good stuff right there.
Woke Milley vs. Pooty Poot’s frilly Ballerinas.
Ppfftt. Cher was grinding on battleships decades ago.
Ballet is popular in sending a message. Here’s a message re: Finland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlLBwx3EH2s

Another great but ill-timed title.
They take ballet very seriously in Russia. It’s not considered unmanly at all.

In my opinion, it is the most athletic dance form there is. Balance, stamina, coordination, and incredible discipline.

The World’s Foremost All-Male Comic Ballet Company
(And probably the world’s only)
These guys dance en pointe, they’re quite serious about their skills, but they’re a comedy troupe.
You have to check out “Girl Und Panzer’’ on You Tube. The weirdest Japanese animation I’ve ever seen.
The gist of it is Japanese high school hotties running around in authentically rendered WW2 tanks shooting each other.
Spoiler: Nobody dies.
LOL!
They have fabulous debutante balls and cotillions:
