The restauranteur must always be careful not to confuse hostility for hospitality. This might have flown in a leftist city, but for a restaurant to do this in Texas? You’d might as well fly to North Korea to hand out free copies of Atlas Shrugged.

This article seems to imply that if everyone everywhere had simply masked up, this would all be over and the restaurant would be rolling in dough. It doesn’t even sniff at the idea that business probably dropped significantly because of their obnoxious stance.
Going Woke is supposed to give you power over the people around you, and provide you a sense of control over your pathetic life. These guys got ripped off.

I took my dog to the vet the other day for an ear infection. I had to call them when I arrived and then turn my dog over at the door. Could not go in. Had to talk to the vet over the phone. I will not leave a bad review or complain. I will simply take my dog to another vet with whom I can carry out business in a normal manner. These people are too stupid to realize what they are doing.

Covid, or its variants, will NEVER go away. Our usual “fall flu” is a mild form of CV. Heck, we still have bubonic plague in NM on rats, groundhogs etc and other vermins’ fleas. The Philmont Scout Ranch warned us back in the early 60s about the creatures.
If he was doing “take out” only and asking people to mask up before entering to pick up their orders, that would be one thing. Whatever one thinks of masks, it would be logically consistent with the idea that they are effective.
But the idea of having your diner open for normal business yet requiring people to mask up is weird. (And yes, I know some places had local regulations that basically required this earlier during the pandemic.) All those people in that small space. Does he think they stop breathing when the masks come off to eat? Or was he being super nutty and expecting them to eat with the masks on? Or is this story just a cover for bad business practices all around?
A new local cafe (the Stupid Cow Cafe) opened near Coeur d’Alene with a great menu and nice decor. On opening week, TWO newly hired cooks didn’t show up for work.
A nice sports-bar / restaurant called Capones is closed two or three days a week.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant (The Porch) posted a sign yesterday saying their staff are exhausted and are closing two days this week.
Our country club restaurant says the same thing — staff are exhausted, high turnover, can’t find workers, etc. They cut back days they are open.
The government is f*&king up our entire world. At this rate, there won’t be any restaurants left by the end of 2021.

Good for him, but why would anyone want to eat a restaurant when the Owner proudly proclaims he is a NAZI and not to smart??
Does it disturb anybody yet, the degree of hysteria people are showing about a disease with 99%+ survival rate?
