As the head of private equity firm The Abraaj Group, Naqvi was a pioneer in the field of impact investing, which sought to make money for investors while doing good for the world. He spent the week rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s richest and most powerful people, including Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and then-Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein.
But how did one man spin a story that allowed him to con some of the world’s smartest investors?
Two months later, the US government invested $150 million in Abraaj.
While Naqvi sought funds from mega donors to help the poor, he was living in luxury in the Beverly Hills of Dubai.

How did he con Bill Gates?
Simple.
“You can’t con an honest man.”
Liberalism is a mental disorder and that is our hope.
or it was never a con at all,
it was a way for these people and the us govt to give money “Off The Books”
Can he go back for seconds? 💸💸💸💸

Can someone explain to me how the US government can "invest" anything into any company?
The only money the US government has is provided by the taxpayers. And as such, "investing" into a company would be more accurately described as "spending" taxpayer dollars.
The government doesn't invest in anything. All they do is spend our money.

Rest assured our ever diligent Republican watchdogs on the Hill won’t let this question go unanswered. They will expose this outrageous waste of taxpayer money. /sarc
I could care less about Bill Gates being conned. I do very much care the federal government gave the con $150 million.
