If some people want electric cars, make some electric cars. If some people want diesel pickup trucks, make some diesel pickups. Etc.

I can’t remember a recall for a conventional vehicle where it was prone to fires while parked, or where owners were instructed to park it outside.

And from the way I read it, a lot of old models will have the entire battery replaced. I don’t know if I’d want to be a 2019 owner who’s being told - hey. don’t worry about the rest of ‘em!

Apparently, at least some of these awful batteries are from S. Korea and Meeeeeeechigan. The LITHIUM (rare earth) could have come from Red China, I suppose.

We, most definitely including myself, are just old school. the young people are gushingly excited and maybe dribbling a little moisture in their pants over the prospect of Federal Government mandatory end of all gasoline vehicles on a certain date.

Apparently now we live in a fantasy world where electricity is cheap and plentiful and requires no fossil fuels to generate, and where battery materials are cheap and abundant.
