The Mississippi State Department of Health sent a health alert Friday warning health care providers about a drug used to deworm livestock that some are using to treat and prevent COVID-19.
According to the alert, the Mississippi Poison Control Center has received several calls related to the ingestion of ivermectin meant for livestock, which is causing illness in COVID-19 patients.
Ivermectin is approved for use in both people and animals, but animal drugs are highly concentrated and can be highly toxic in humans.

Hint: A full tube every day is a bit too much.
Read the whole report. It’s nothing !
The Frantic “ media “ is desperately searching for any mountain-out-of-a-molehill.
It has notches for every 50 lbs of body weight.
A whole tube is for a 1250 lb horse.
If it wasn’t for the politicization of medicine, doctors could prescribe pills for people.
Instead people have to fend for themselves.
“According to the health alert:
No one has been hospitalized due to ingestion of the drug.
At least 70% of the recent calls have been related to ingestion of livestock or animal formulations of ivermectin purchased at livestock supply centers.
85% of the callers had mild symptoms.”
And the dosage per lb for deworming a horse is a preventive dose for human/covid as per docs that are using it. Twice the horse dewormer dose for human/covid treatment as per docs using it. Lb per Lb to prevent and twice the horse lb for treatment. Not tube, lb of mammal.
However, I'm good enough at math to know that most people suck at it. Still sounds like propaganda.
That is a bald-faced lie. The dosage per weight is the same for humans as it is for animals. The literature that comes with the "horse de-wormer" gives clear instructions on how much per 50 lbs of weight to dose with and the syringe has a locking collar on the plunger with increments of 50 lbs on the plunger.
I took my ninth monthly dose two days ago. The only side effect I've noticed is a craving for green apples and oats.
The human stuff is 1.0%
The horse stuff is 1.87%
So if that worries you, just take a little less.
I suspect it is pressure from big pharma.
But to be real, ivermectin is sold in so many forms one does need to know a little about it.
There are two ivermectin formulations sold for cattle. One is a pure form that is safe, from my experience. The other is ivermectin plus for liver flukes. Don’t know about that for humans but it will kill a dog.
There is also a pour on version of ivermectin for cattle. Definitely a no-no.
There is also ivermectin for hogs.
Ivermectin in tube paste for horses. I would leave that one alone because getting the exact dosage correct would be very difficult. Also they commonly have other drugs mixed with the ivermectin.
I am no doctor, not a veterinarian and offer no advice except that if anyone is going to go the ivermectin route they should read up on the many forms and make an informed decision.
Yes, you know that and I know that. But how many people read instructions?
Of course, maybe this is a another set of fish-tank cleaner murders.
To put it even more simply.
1250 lbs of human, use the 1250 lb horse(1 tube) dewormer and weight 50/250 divisions on the tube for covid preventative. (Weekly iirc)
Double the dose for treatment. I’m 125 so I would use 250 weight markings on the tube. Five days.
This is as per some doctors on the web who have been using it to treat people plus my math. YMMV
I have the Ivermectin tube paste for horses. The collar on the syringe can be locked in 50 lb. increments. It’s easy as pie to select an amount close to my body weight.
I read the Material Safety Data Sheet online before using it and there are no other drugs in it other than Ivermectin. Only the paste carrier and alleged apple flavoring.
The only thing I noticed is that now insead of saying “no”, I say “Nay”
I wish what you said made sense.
That’s better.
What? How come there is no “Joe Shmoe is dying from ivermectin horse paste ingestion” headline? They can’t find Joe Shmoe.
Looks like the director should get off his ass and make sure cheap Ivermectin is available for people in appropriate doses ASAP. I mean he should be working 7/16 to ensure the doses are available at pharmacies and feed stores.
IF there is ANY truth to this report at all- the media and the left are responsible for banning doctors from prescribing human ivermectin and HCQ to combat covid!
But i doubt there is a massive increase of toxicity as most people who will take it will also research it and find out that it can be easily measured out, and find out what dose to take before taking it-
I took my ninth monthly dose two days ago. The only side effect I’ve noticed is a craving for green apples and oats.>> funny i’ve got my tube and my GF made a green apple and oat bran loaf for breakfast bars yesterday.
