Put me in the NO Facebook category. I don’t think I’ve missed a thing over the years.
You’re really late to the game on this one. You been sleeping for 20 years, Rip Van Facebook?
What took you so long?
I’m banned for 30 days for posting a painting of the crucifixion of Jesus. They said it was too violent.
At least, I think that’s why I got canned. They said I violated their standards and that picture is the only thing I see when I open the app, along with the warning it’s too violent.
I stopped using it the day after the election.
It’s still active, just not used.
Not sure how to completely delete it.
Good for you. I keep it because it is the major way me and much of my spread out family remain in touch with each other.
The other nice thing it the FB marketplace is a great place to sell and buy things.
I post political stuff all the time, and don’t give a crap. I never buy anything from their ads, so no revenue from me.
I encouraged you to drop it a year ago.
So now you’re telling me to encourage people to drop it?
Have you not understood your addiction to it? It’s been beating on our side for years, and yet now you’re personally affected so you want to spread the word?
I’m glad you’re off, but you’ve got balls.
You don’t wait for it to personally affect you before declaring bad. Facebook hasn’t done anything to me. I quit before it could.
See what this stuff is doing to others. Now welcome to the resistance.
I never joined, never went directly to Twitter, but through items that were posted here, I read some things, and am seriously sorry I even did that.
Does Twitter, or Facebook (another site to which I never went) charge monthly or yearly to use their service?
I never joined it. Being in touch with friends and family is great, but Facebook is a double-edged sword. I will NEVER have a Facebook account.
Having said THAT, I do admit to having a Twitter account I don’t post there
but I DO use it for information
FB banned me permanently a couple months ago for “suspicious activity,” whatever that is supposed to mean. I’m living just fine without Fakebook.
I dropped FaceBook several years ago. I was a naive social media newbie and was horrified at the go-for-the-jugular approach employed by so many.
😬 A lot of good it did me to be selective. I was permanently banned from Twitter on January 8, 2021 with my president. I posted truth as well. Never got into a disagreement. Never tried to convince anyone to see it my way. Never sold a thing or uttered a profanity. Never threatened anyone. Not once in ten years did I ever get warned. I did get zapped for 3 days for unfollowing 100+ people who didn’t follow me back. I thought I was being tidy. ☺️ I posted the truth and asked a lot of questions. The Taliban can be on Twitter but not me.
I have a feeling FaceBook would have been even harder on me had I stayed.
I still have 6 days left in Facebook jail on my second 30 day suspension.
I’ve been banned for.
1 day.
7 days.
A discussion of merit brings the bans but they use a one-sided set of rules for me and ignore the same content in like minded individuals
