Robert Krebs served more than 30 years for 1981 robbery in Florida

An 84-year-old man who spent most of his adult life behind bars for robbing banks was sentenced Tuesday to more than 21 years in prison for carrying out an armed heist at an Arizona credit union.

Authorities say Robert Krebs carried out the January 2018 holdup in Tucson about seven months after he was released from prison as he was struggling to adjust to life on the outside. His attorney said Krebs wanted to go back to prison.

Hopefully he’ll get rehabilitated during this stint and will emerge 21 years from now a productive citizen at last.

“Going in Style”. Ed Norton, Gracie’s husband, and Hyman Roth plan a heist.

Unless, of course, this was his planned retirement where he could be taken care of and fed his three meals a day.

A lot of guys think that way.

Well, it would be something interesting to do while he’s in, anyway.

I wonder if Dave Ramsey or Suze Ormond know about THIS particular ‘Retirement Strategy?’

Just joshin’! Loves me some Dave Ramsey! Retired at 56, debt free and I didn’t even have to rob a bank to do it! Though, ‘with my particular skill set’ I COULD have. ;)

He’s got the choice of functioning in a world outside that is hostile and frightening, functioning in a jail system that is hostile and frightening but he understands how it works and has a reasonable chance, or suicide. He chose Door #2.

“He can now get the surgery he always wanted to become a Trans Female like his idol Bruce Jenner”.

That’s a idiotic thing to say.

He’s 84 years old. You must not have read the story.

Not quite on the same scale but when I was a probation officer I had probationers who would deliberately violate their conditions of probation and ask to be sent back to jail.

They hated following the Man’s orders for 5 years on probation so they just did the 2 or 3 years in jail and walked out with no conditions on them.
