A new study on the effects of natural infection by the coronavirus suggests that there may be little to no benefit for recovered SARS-CoV-2 patients in receiving vaccines against the coronavirus.
According to the study, conducted in Cleveland, Ohio and published in the MedRxiv journal last month, people who were infected with the coronavirus enjoy significant long-term immunity from the virus, which is unlikely to be increased by being injected with one of the coronavirus vaccinations now on the market.
The study followed 52,238 employees of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, monitoring infections among vaccinated and unvaccinated workers, and the incidents of reinfection among both vaccinated and unvaccinated workers.
Of the 52,238 employees tracked in the study, 2,579 had previously tested positive for the coronavirus, while 49,659 had never been confirmed as carrying the virus.
Fifty-three percent of the 2,579 employees who had been infected with the virus previously remained unvaccinated (1,359 people), compared to 41% (22,777) of the employees who were never diagnosed with the virus.
Zero previously infected employees were reported to have become infected again with the virus, regardless of their vaccination status.
Vaccination significantly reduced the risk of coronavirus infection, the study found, but only among those who had not previously been infected.

Yeah...my grandson had Covid...he has to get shots in order to take 2 trips in October...it’s unconcsionable what’s happening.
Sadly, much of this country ignores science in favor of willy-nilly tyranny.
They bought into the fear and terror the government/media/medical complex waged 24/7 for months.

We were told in the beginning that 90% of us would contract this virus eventually. Yet only 5% of employees at the Cleveland Clinic, presumably seeing patients, actually acquired the virus! So much for being “highly infectious.” More lies.

What should be happening is parents need to pull their kids from schools who make it mandatory for minors to have the COVID vaccine. Why it won’t has less to do with the kids getting the vaccine as it is an inconvenience and burden for the parent to deal with it. The same people who let the elections be stolen last Fall are the ones buy into the vaccines for their families.
Not an immunologist and it has been 25 years since studying the immune system in school, but I think the antibodies are present for a short while. The lymphocytes “remember” a virus for a long time.
When an antigen is detected (antigens are the binding sites for antibodies) lymphocytes undergo mitosis, producing more cells which express antibodies to the antigen.
There is a test called T-Detect which determines if one has ever been exposed:
This test was cleared by the FDA last March under EUA.
Maybe if someone can give more technical details that would help.

I heard a Dr on tv a week ago saying that it was important for those recovered to get the shot because their acquired immunity wouldn’t last as long or be as effective.
