If you want to quantify naive, those guys were off the chart naive. Do something - do something brave! If for no other reason so that you won't feel regret when you get old.

First of all, I am not a dude, I am a woman, but your assumption was based in realism ... and it was very realistic of you to make that assumption.

I'm not proselytizing or pushing my faith, and if anyone found it offensive I am sure they would let me know - so far, just you.

Don't put down people who aren't pessimists like you. My experience with pessimists is that's their excuse to sit things out because of hurts in the past. I come from a very strong very extended very strong military family - and we could all be pessimists right now and no one would blame us. No more debate with you, but thanks for replying.
