Its amazing how Milley and Austin (who are directly responsible) who were the most arrogant and the loudest far left activists in DC before the Afghanistan collapse, have now been about the most silent creeps in DC since Afghanistan went to hell because of their utter incompetence.
Say wasn't Milley the same general who used to be in charge of training the Afghan soldiers?

Certainly when tens of thousands of Americans are stranded and desperate in a civil airport that has suspended operations due to lack of security and general chaos it's very reasonable to ask 'Who decided to suddenly close Bagram Airbase las month and why do they still have a job?'
Spoiler: it wasn't Trump.
Spoiler 2: SJW activist and part time General Mark Milley said to congress last month that they didn't need it anymore.

IMO these two jerks who don’t have the wisdom to be door men are not the worse ones responsible for the debacle in Afghanistan. The seeds for that were sown long ago by the prior people who held these positions and further fostered by those who garnered their stars and eagles. They are now long retired and plundering the defense industry raking in huge salaries as corporate officials or lobbyists.
This is not too dissimilar to a less important issue highlighted in A Bridge Too Far. Individuals who saw there was a problem in discounting enemy strength in Belgium were shunted off, disregarded, or there careers ended because they warned against what Montgomery wanted.
Here against every piece of advice it was lets move along beginning with the national building idea fostered by Bush and his staff. Then it became kick the can down the road.

We would remember that the Taliban weren’t strong (although a recent influx of captured American weaponry may have changed that).
Biden stabbed the Afghans in the back by denying them their own air cover and by making it clear that they were on their own. The writing was on the wall when the lights went off at Bagram.
The article mentions a ‘Blitzkrieg’. No! The taliban victories were surrenders arranged by phone.

Then Gen. Austin was in command of the Iraqi drawdown. He knows what is involved bugging out. This is just pure incompetence. In the private sector you get fired for this. Everyone involved in this cluster needs to be fired, starting the Biden and Camel Toe and all the way down to the lowest decision maker, intel analyst that provide bogus advice and intelligence (I hate using that last word because there is so little of it, as in IQ.)
