I've taken the mortality data from the CDC for the last 3 years, by age, and put it into a spreadsheet. The data for 2020 also includes Covid deaths and I wanted to see what portion of the excess mortality in 2020 was the result of Covid. I was pretty surprised to see that while Covid did not effect those under 45, they had the largest increases in mortality in 2020.
You can see the data from 2018 and 2019 is very similar, that shows that overall mortality is typically pretty steady. I've always countered those who claim "Covid is a hoax" with the fact that mortality has clearly increased in 2020 and something had to cause it. Before I put these numbers together, I expected the increased mortality to be primarily in those most effected by Covid, those over 60, that appears NOT to be the case. The effect on those between 14 and 44 seem to be extremely contradictory to what I expected. They had the largest increase in mortality but the vast majority of it was NOT from Covid.
I believe it's likely that the non-Covid increased mortality is likely the results of the lockdowns.
Take away purpose and hope via lockdown and people OD and off themselves.
Who knew?
Not to mention all of the mental issues our youth have suffered, through all of this nonsense. 😢
“I believe it’s likely that the non-Covid increased mortality is likely the results of the lockdowns.”
Fault of the ‘Rat American Marxists.
Marxism not only Oppresses, it kills.
Interesting data. Looks to me like covid caused premature deaths of mainly older people.
So, mortality rate is up considerably even if you take out the covid deaths (which seem to be over reported due to government payment guidelines). You think depression and suicide may have this large an increase? Perhaps violence could account for some death increases also, but still it seems like a lot. Is there something else going on ?
I believe the increases mortality among younger than 45 crowd is due to suicides, overdoses, etc. (likely caused by the lockdowns).
And then there’s the obesity.
I have one doc who says the lockdown related weight gain will kill more Americans than the CoupFlu.
All part of their PlanDEMic.
Why not format Columns B-F and H as ,0)?
They are called “deaths of despair.”

Drug use and abuse.
Also, people putting off doctor’s visits or health treatments due to COVID (their fear or clinics not being open, etc.).
bkmk
Youngest deaths down, perhaps less flu, which kills young kids, and less accidents if parents are with them locked down?
That IS interesting. Counterintuitive.
How did you separate deaths not caused by covid but counted as covid if tested positive
We will never know the real covid death count. It’s way lower than they say. They purposely turned it into something it wasn’t.
preliminary data suggest Covid accounted for barely 1.2% of all deaths in the under-25 age group. A back-of-the-envelope calculation shows that, compared to 2018 and 2019 deaths per 100k, 2020 saw one extra death among those under age five, an additional 1.5 deaths among those aged 5 to 14, and a whopping 23 additional deaths among those aged 15 to 24. Overall, deaths per 100k in this age group jumped from 106.4 per 100k in 2019 to 131.7 per 100k during 2020. That’s an increase of 23% — and Covid only accounts for 1.2% of total deaths in ages 0–24 years. Read: https://www.aier.org/article/more-covid-suicides-than-covid-deaths-in-kids/
I think I understand your chart. Do I?
