Let's assume that it is from China and they either intentionally designed and released it or spread it. I think most would agree at this point it is one or the other.
I'd casually move the Pacific Fleet in proximity to Taiwan, ramp up US chip manufacturing, and economically decouple completely from China over the next 6-12 months.
China is already making this easier to do as they close their ports.

That’s a good point. If I was a betting man I’d give it better than 50-50 odds that the Wuhan viral research was funded by the U.S. government because we wanted to cover our asses by hiding our biological warfare research program overseas.
China once was closed to the rest of the world, until Nixon and Kissinger opened it up.
Maybe it’s time to close that door again.
That’s the only thing that should matter; this was an act of biological warfare on the entire planet by the Chinese Communist Party.

We allow them to benefit because they helped get rid of Trump and gave progressives the power over the US government. One thing progressives don’t like is people being independent of government. They don’t really want a strong economy, they don’t really want people to make money on their own. They like having hundreds of thousands of homeless people because of the services they can offer. Of course the services come with a price. Once you are in you don’t get out.
Progressives have perpetrated and perpetuated the COVID crisis in order to gain and maintain control. They can make people wear masks. They can make people stay in their houses. They can close down businesses. They can decide who works and who doesn’t. They can make people get tested or vaccinated.
They admire the way Communists have reacted to the pandemic: locking people inside houses, not allowing them to go out even to get food, not allowing food delivery services, making people get tested if they want to travel, forcing people to get vaccinated. They literally can force someone to be vaccinated. Two or three people to hold them down while another gives the shot.
Who would not want that kind of power?
The US economy would fall apart if we decoupled from China.
It would take more than six months.
Americans like their cheap crap, meds, and electronics.
Doing the right thing is dependent on having a President and ruling party that is not already beholden to the CCP. We do not enjoy that happy condition.
