Man brutally attacked, stomped in Mount Baker (Seattle) parking lot hopes attacker is found

For the first time, the man who was seen on surveillance video being viciously beaten and robbed while visiting Seattle, is speaking out.

The 22-year-old said he's angry and frustrated knowing the attacker is still on the loose.

The man was visiting Seattle from Los Angeles when he was randomly attacked July 31 in a Mount Baker parking lot.

The vicious and barbaric attack captured on chilling surveillance video has the freelance photographer known as Caliber Visuals still bearing the emotional and physical scars.

“It makes me mad," Visuals said. "It makes me frustrated. It kind of makes me sad. It made me angry and I’ve kind of gone through my emotions everyday of re-living that moment."

The 22-year-old already survived a car crash that left him a neck brace in Los Angeles last month.

He said that neck brace probably saved his life because he was wearing it in the Seattle attack.

He had come to Seattle to visit family and friends.

Visuals said after taking a nap in his friend’s car, he said the suspect approached him in a parking lot on the 2800 Block of Rainier Avenue South and asked for the time.

When Caliber said he didn’t know, he said the man grabbed his hand with his cellphone and knocked him to the ground.

“He was just like, 'you think I give S%$# about your phone,'" Visuals said. "Empty your f@#$%&* pocket and that’s when he threw me down and started kicking me."

The attacker stomped Caliber over and over—even when it was clear he was unconscious.

Then he rummaged through Caliber's pockets, stole his wallet and keys and walks away, leaving a motionless Visuals.

“Every time I do get upset or hurt about it, I just try to remember the fact that I’m still here and I still get to take pictures, I get to do what I love," Visuals said.

Visuals hopes his attacker is caught before he unleashes on someone else.

“I know that you’re going to get what you deserve, you didn’t take me out so I’m going to keep going,” Visuals said.

Police said if you recognize the guy—call their tip-line at 206.233.5000

The missing point is that, without the neck brace on, the attacker would likely have broken the guy’s neck, and he’d either be dead, or a quadriplegic.

I live north of Seattle. Who would ever visit Seattle? The locals don’t want to go there. It is Little Beruit now.

I looked at his instagram stuff awhile back. I’m guessing he thought they were all his homies. Probably in that neighborhood to do some photo shoots. I wonder if he had finished up a shoot and was heading back to his motel with the cash payment?

That is a really dumb title for an article. In related news, woman with cancer hopes she is cured.

I’m on the eastside and yeah...won’t go downtown anymore...had a condo in Pioneer Square for a long time and I couldn’t believe it when a woman bought it. I barely felt safe there before it became what it is now.

So what if the attacker is found. Violent criminals are the darlings of the Seattle government administration. What do you think is going to happen to the thug?

#13. The new Tourist Bureau’s slogan is “Come to Seattle and die, but the scenery is great”.

I had to look it up - there is a hill right there, but not enough to be called a “mount”. Mt. Baker tunnel runs under the hill from the bridge that crosses the lake. Turns out it is named for the view of Mt. Baker from the neighborhood.

It is a nice neighborhood right on Lake Washington, on a hillside with lots of nice views. It is adjacent to the Rainier Valley area with MLK Boulevard as the main drag in that neighborhood which tells you all you need to know.

Have an emergency? Need immediate police assistance? Call 1-800-Social Worker. That is 1-800 S-o-c-i-a-l W-o-r-k-e-r.

DEFUND THE POLICE ! Yeah, that the ticket. Who wants to bet Mr. Visuals is a democrat voter and probably supports BLM?

I was just reading where the average response time for Seattle police is now ONE HOUR!!

Luckily in my Seattle suburb they can still have a squad car out within a few minutes if there is an odd guy walking down the middle of the street at 3 am. (Well, that was a year or so ago...)

My bad - not average. Just an hour or more for things like burglaries.

A shooting they are getting to them in about 12 minutes now (as opposed to 9 minutes last year).

At least in the last round of ‘equity violence’, 30 years ago, the media reported on it - now they don’t since it might lead to accurate stereotyping of certain groups.

So people like this poor guy have NO CLUE that they’re basically walking into South Africa or Central America when they visit our cities, particularly foreigners.

...and people here bitch at me for no longer tipping BLM types.

that neck brace probably saved his life because he was wearing it in the Seattle attack.

In my parts, body armor, helmets, and the like are considered to be passive weapons, and are therefore frequently prohibited by the police at public gatherings, demonstrations, etc. - since they could render police force-of-arms ineffective.

“Every time I do get upset or hurt about it, I just try to remember the fact that I’m still here and I still get to take pictures, I get to do what I love," Visuals said.

So he's essentially saying that no one should get "upset" about incidents of this kind (as long as we survive / don't become paralyzed as a result).

I guess he thinks that retributive redistribution is all right - as long as the perpetrator is a member of an "underprivileged class."
