The risk of suffering a breakthrough COVID-19 infection with the delta variant after being fully vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine may be much lower than the risk for those who received the Pfizer vaccine, according to a new Mayo Clinic study that is awaiting a full review.
The study found that in July in Florida, where COVID cases are at an all-time high and the delta variant is prevalent, the risk of a breakthrough case was 60% lower for Moderna recipients as compared to Pfizer recipients.

Read the DAMN STUDY. Not these reporters who extract bullshit.
Both Pfizer and Moderna are sharply losing effectiveness. BOTH OF THEM. They were approved from last year’s population at 90+%. That was with early/mid 2020 trial populations. J&J testing was much later in the year and not part of this Mayo study.
What was done by Mayo is not titer antibody stuff. This is actual population numbers of infection and hospitalization.
The numbers have crashed for both Moderna and Pfizer. The Jan/July population measurements say Pfizer 76% effective vs infection and 85% vs hospitalization. Moderna over those 6 months 82% vs infection and 92% vs hospitalization.
But the key data is the samples of July alone. The most recent month with Delta dominant. For July Pfizer is now 42% effective against infection and Moderna is down to 76% effective. Neither had hospital numbers for July because too recent.
This loss of performance is a combination of fading immunity (since some of the population was vaxed in Jan, some in June) and the dominance of Delta.
Note J&J reported lower numbers because they purposely included 10s of thousands of samples from Brazil and South Africa, capturing performance against those variants. J&J did their trials in late 2020 and early 2021 and in a much more pure way. Pfizer splashes the numbers, knowing J&J is only 1 injection, but the FDA and CDC explicitly note the different sample populations and timing and do not declare the mRNA vaccines superior to J&J.
There is but one statistic I want to see -
Given these are human trials, undoubtedly with a control group, what are the breakthru numbers for the jabbed with real vax versus those jabbed with the placebo.
That was the purpose of long term studies to determine these effects. Now the intellectually challenged vaccinated people are no better than the lab mice.
So many competitive options with this “pick your poison” situation.

Also, you don't want to get infected with a virus. But evidenced by indifference of desperate, alleged election-stealing Democrats to illegal aliens testing positive for CV19, have Democrats turned an asymptomatic positive on CV19 test into a social taboo for political gain?
After all, you need to get infected by virus in order for your healthy natural herd immunity to do its job.

“all the time”? - Moderna is mentioned a lot less in reports than Pfizer has been.

That's not how we achieved herd immunity / near eradication for polio, mumps, measles, etc.
There is no control group. There was but after they collected the initial stats and saw the effectiveness it was deemed unethical to not vaccinate the control group and leave them at risk. So they called them in and gave them the real thing. There is a natural control group of unvaccinated people but of course many of them may have been infected and have antibodies so that’s not really a true control group either.
You can still run a business and give away the excess.
