The heat to-day has been frightful. The thermometer at the Coast Survey Office reached 112° in the shade, and 125° in the sun.

“ The thermometer at the Coast Survey Office reached 112° in the shade, and 125° in the sun.” This is from August 11, 1861, so much for global warming.

Seems like no need for SUVs & private jets to cause global warming when you have millions of cows, horses &/or bison creating methane and millions more people burning wood to keep warm in the winter.
On the other hand, according to natural cycles, we're coming due for the next ice age.
So we might need even more cows, horses, wood fires & SUVs to delay the ice a bit longer.
